Do you get any crap wearing your fav teams apparel in a rivals town?

My UT front license plate got kicked in pretty good in Birmingham a few years back during the Butch years. Which is very odd to me, its not like we were a threat

I have lived in north Alabama for 44 years & I wear my LSU shite every day . They have given up on me!frick the Gumps!

In college station I wore a cursive script Texas golf hat while eating at the Dixie Chicken (which is embarrassingly enough that town's finest establishment) and some guy walked past our table and said "Nice hat, Walmart"
I walked past his table on the way to the bathroom, showed him my student ID, and told him "sorry you still harbor resentment for not getting in."

I’ve always felt like the horror stories of visiting fans are overblown.
I know stuff happens but it seems like it’s rare when you’re actually at games. I’m a scrawny guy and I’ve been to the majority of SEC stadiums wearing UGA gear and never had anything seriously bad said or done to me.

I don't know about the others here, but if I see a Florida cap in my town, I flex on the dude wearing it and compel him to give it to me for proper disposal.

No. But, I'm not an a-hole, either.
If I wear "LSU" gear in Alabama or Mississippi (for example)...I expect to get some good natured comments. i never "return fire" because i am kinda 'a guest in their home'. So, I just smile and laugh along with them.
In the very rare instance of a real jackass comment...well, I don't engage jackasses regardless of it being school related.
Most of "them" (rival's fans) are just like most of "us" (our team's fans). Just people with an affinity for a particular school / team and not really troublesome.

It's been good!
Sorry you were let go during Christmas season in December. Turns out winning championships isn't the only thing that aggies are completely incompetent in. I guess that second-rate education isn't good for much
