How the hell is dallas this board's most cultured contributor? Seems like he's been everywhere.
Retired, managed my money wisely and leaving nothing whatsoever to my kids/grandkids...

Are they picking you up from the airport? Belize City airport is a dump and in a shite area. Long way to the resorts or islands. We usually take a puddle jumper plane from there to where we fish.
Also, what is your passport situation?

Is this the braggart thread? Went marlin fishing in Maui today. Playing the Plantation Course at Kapalua tomorrow.

Do you have your passport? If not, you're going to have to get on that with a quickness, and pay the expedited rate to get it processed in time.

Atl to Heathrow or CDG is 9 hrs and it kills me.
Dallas, I'm doing ATL-BIL through CDG at the end of the month. Got any good tips on navigating de Gaulle? We land at Terminal 2E and leave from Terminal 2F.
My brother says it's the worst airport he's ever been in.

How long is your layover? Why are you connecting to Billings Montana via Charles de Gaulle?

Download the Hopper app. Tells you best timing of when to buy and offers up cheapest airfares. Otherwise using google flights.
My suggestion is don’t use some shite 3rd party to actually buy the flight. Buy it from the airline.

I still haven’t had a worse experience than Philadelphia’s

The thing I can tell you about changing in CDG without knowing your gates is each terminal is sterile, meaning you have to go thorough security coming into each one and through French border control going out. The gate numbers vs terminal numbers can be confusing. It is a big place. Also, pray to your god that there are no strikes going on. If there are, ask Delta to connect you via Amsterdam. They should do that for no charge if you ask the right questions. It seems like most of the signs have English on them, but the nomenclature of the terminal vs the gate is confusing.
Take a piss before you land. Get off the plane and get to your connection gate with no stops. Sometimes the busses are frequent and it takes maybe 45 mins from getting off plane to getting to connecting gate. Sometimes there are a ton of people and bus lines.

Philly is 1/10 the size, but it is like CDG as it is always under construction and laid out like 2 3 year olds playing with Legos.

Oof. I had to always take a small connection flight so I was always going through that fricking maze looking for the buses. Every time I was there I felt like I was in a Sears that had been undergoing but never finished a renovation.

Well I'm going to the dump the weekend.

Thought I'd go to Europe, then go visit my brother who lives there.
Actually, I'm going to BIO, which is Bilbao, Spain. Layover is about 3.5 hours going and 1.5 hours coming back.
We're on Air France tickets, so I don't think I'll have any luck rerouting at this point. It's a business trip and I didn't choose or pay for the flights.

1.5 hours layover is tight. Air France is actually nice. Not like the Asian airlines but they are nice planes with good food.

Got screwed there. On Delta transatlantic and Air France A319 to Bilbao.
Was hoping to fly on 777 one way, but am on A330 there and 767-400 back. Boo...

I didn't think Philly was that bad, but I've only been in/out once. If I flew there regularly, I might feel differently.
I thought Reagan was miserable the one time I went there.
