Start looking now. for the cheapest ticket you need to get it at least 30 days prior to the flight. It is called a 30 day advance purchase ticket. (Most airlines have them, but they may be called different things)

Be advised that this type ticket must be flown exactly as the reservations are made. If you change them in any way from the time you make the booking until you fly, it will cost you big time.

You cannot change the date, the flight...NOTHING. Any changes and the ticket is pretty much worthless and you will be buying a new ticket. Good luck.
