Should we add Clemson to the East to create some Parity?

Unless it’s Auburn, Georgia clearly can’t beat a west team. Maybe Clemson would boost up the East until Florida is back to its dominance

Missouri’s only here for the St. Louis and Kansas City market. Much like Vanderbilt it’s also nice to have an automatic win.

Clemson would at least challenge the west though.

Why would Clemson leave their cushy conference to lose a couple games a year?

Makes zero sense.

If you want to split your extra $30M TV revenue with them to bring 'em on board, go for it.

The rest of us are arrite.

Clempson wouldn't help with tv revenue as we already have that area covered plus most of their fans still have the antenna on their roof and still use dial-up internet connection so they don't even know what the SEC channel even is.

With the amount of talent UGA is bringing in they will be able to play with anyone. Just need to revamp that offense. The Defense was nasty this year. Offense was very limited when it scheme.

Would trade Mizzou for a lot of different teams. The weak tea of the SEC.

I agree the East needs some better teams, but why would they join the SEC? They have an annual free pass to playoffs

Oh we're miserable but Clemson has very little to do with it.

All credit goes to William Muschamp for that. Don't shortchange his one accomplishment here.

I'm all for adding Clemson. Add Oklahoma to the West and then still switch out Auburn and Mizzou to make geographical sense, and I'd call that a complete SEC. Would be well balanced also.

Clemson pussies wouldn’t dare come to the SEC and play real teams week after week

They enjoy their ACC cream puffs and Coach-whimper from Dambo

Why would you further expand a conference that only plays most cross division opponents once per decade as is?

Conference expansion needs to stop. Nationwide, not just an SEC issue. The ACC, PAC, and BIG10 are all getting ridiculous too.

(Also, have you ever interacted with Clem fans? They redefine obnoxious. Almost as bad as those baby-blue-bitches in chapel hill....

I don't think you should advocate for adding those orange hicks, just sayin'...)

Why in the world would you want to add any top-tier team to the SEC?

For the money? It’s not like it’s our money. It goes to the athletic departments to fund the facilities arms race. We have parity in facilities anyway, so the balance of powers hasn’t changed. And the cost of being a booster or fan has increased exponentially, even as attendance is trending down.

To give the SEC more championships? How does that help your team? It reduces the likelihood of YOUR team reaching the championship. For that matter, it lessens the likelihood of an undefeated SEC champion.

For better home and home matchups? We already miss out on top teams from the other division most years. Add in silliness like neutral site games, and you get no benefit from adding Clemson or Oklahoma. If you want to play them, schedule a home and home.

The east-west thing will balance out. And the SEC will be fine if it doesn’t.
