make me jealous of the awesome food tailgating for games down in Baton Rouge. I want to see some pics. And you non-LSU fans, no corn dog nonsense. I’m always down for some Cajun and Creole cuisine!

...we are having a corn dog tailgate
I would invite you, but it sounds like Andouille Corn Dogs and Corn Dog Gumbo ain’t your thing. We’ll also have regular corn dogs, boiled corn dogs, fried corn dogs, steamed corn dogs, frozen popsicle like corn dogs, and broiled corn dogs.

Their entire stadium smells like cornmeal.

We have a culture where you stop by friend’s tailgates. It’s a way to visit without going to their house or inviting them to dinner. When friends stop by, you want to have food and drinks for them. Any friend of a friend is invited and we enjoy meeting traveling fans from opponents.
We have just been doing it for so long it’s organized now. LSU use to let us park on the grass, you could just drive in and park for free. Those days are gone, but the culture of going to campus whenever there is a game remains.

I'm making a crawfish etouffee this weekend.
It's also not a hard thing to make. If you can get crawfish tails where you live, you can make a crawfish etouffee. If you can't get crawfish tails, shrimp are a nice substitute.

We are the most enthusiastic hospitality culture in America. As well as the most celebrated. It’s important to us that our guests have a good time prior to quitting on the field later in the day. If you wear your colors with a smile and a sense of humor you will be invited to eat and drink on us as much as you want.

Check out the Cajun Ninja. The recipes I follow when I cook, are very similar to his.

Had Boudin and Cracklins, my only trip to Louisiana. No crayfish though.

The corn dog “insult” to LSU fans is the silliest of any of them. There are many things to insult LSU fans about but not food. They do food better than anybody in our conference. I’ve never said or typed corn dog.

How do you tell if the LSU fan is from the north or west part of the state?
Corn dog in the gumbo rather than andouillie.
