I heard the campus almost became a Mexican standoff during the Blues Blackhawks series in 2016. That was one of if not the greatest series ever played in Blues history prior to last June.

The Mizzou-Kansas rivalry is much like the Carolina-sheep humping sister banging taterheads rivalry inasmuch as it was born out of politics and blood long before it became about sports.

I think these may be the only two rivalries in the country where such can be claimed and I am fairly sure more blood was spilled between Missouri and Kansas than between the good people of the Flagship University of the Great Palmetto State of South Carolina and the radical racist Tillmanites of KKKlemson.

That's cause we're all one big family......sometimes we fight amongst ourselves but we always take care of one another. You got a problem with a house on wheels lol??? Yankees always think they're smarter and better than us.

Also, to the original topic, our "sucking at football" was 6 wins...something kansas hasn't accomplished since 2008(!!!). George W. Bush was still president the last time y'all made a bowl game

It was pretty nasty up here, a lot of neighbor vs neighbor fighting

You want to talk about nasty, google Order No. 11. All the people in 4 counties in Missouri on the border with kansas (with the exception of folks in a few 'larger' towns like KC, Harrisonville, Independence and a few others) were given 15 days to leave. Then they went and burned down almost all their homes and farms.

Harrisonville has a cabin in town that was moved from a remote place in the county, because that cabin was one of the only antebellum buildings outside of the towns to survive that era.

A "jayhawker" is synonymous with a terrorist, yet our fine friends to the west have the blood-soaked thing as their mascot. It would be tantamount to the University of New Jersey having the mascot the fighting Al Queda's - see how the people in NY would take to that.

The hate runs deep between our states. If you don't have roots here, you definitely won't get it. But it's real

The only good thing to come out of kansas is I-70. True story: When Missouri used to play ku in Kansas City, some of the Missouri staff would stop on the way in Higginsville to visit Quantrill's grave.

Been there many times. I donate to the Confederate Memorial Friends Association every year. It is a beautiful park/memorial.

Very familiar with Order Number 11. My family was from the Little Dixie area so I heard stories from my great grandfather when I was a kid about it all that had been passed down.
