This is absolutely true. kansas did try that lame-arse trick. I suppose some see how well it worked for them.
By the way, take note how we don't even capitalize the k in kansas.

The reason the Union finally gained control of Missouri was a lack of support from the Confederacy. There was a decent contingent of Rebs from Missouri and Arky that did what they could but once the Union flooded Missouri with German immigrants/soldiers it didn’t take long to push the Confederacy out of the state and the western front was no more.....for more information look up The Battle of Pea Ridge, pretty good read. However the James and Younger baws said frick it and fought on for sometime after the war officially ended.....they weren’t quitters.

The big difference: Mizzou didn't name their mascot "The Bushwhackers" or "The Fighting Quantrills." kU actually did name their university mascot after domestic terrorists at a time when their victims' children were young adults. They have always been a classless institution.

I can't find the words to express how much this post has raised my opinion of you.
Kudos on the proper use of Beaker with the correct amount of disgust and condescension.
