As a position coach. Has ever even been a coordinator?

So were going from a wide open offense to more of a pro style run game. What could possibly go wrong.

The beginning of the end unless he hires an unreal staff which isn't likely.

We'll need a rockstar OC and DC.
2 wins at best next year and 3 after that.

Could we not have given him a promotion and made him OC? Since he wants to be at Arkansas so bad I would think a promotion would be good enough

Some fans are absolutely ridiculous. We haven’t been to a bowl in years, won 4 games in 2 seasons, barely won more than that in previous years. We are in no position to be picky or sticking our nose up at people

How do you know the offense without an OC?

If I had known we were an entry level job now I would have applied

If he tries to run bert/Kirby offense then KJ is gone and so are lots of skill guys that thought they'd be running RPO.

. I'm telling ya, he's got to get him a brilliant, wing it around guy like Orgeron did to keep these guys.

Drink was perfect for the system alrwdy at hand, but I get it. He's got no sec experience.

I like the move but there's just got to be somebody advising him and helping him with becoming a head coach..
I hope he's open minded about the offense. And Arkansas has given him a huge assistant checkbook

Who do you think hires the OC?
What in Pitmans past would make you think wide open?
He likes Chaney who runs a pro style.

Do you even football?

Which is exactly why I have no clue why people are freaking out. He could very easily assemble a great crew. Dude's done nothing but consistently recruit and develop his position at an elite level the entire time he's been in the SEC. People are going to want to be on this staff with the money we're ready to throw around.

He has SEC experience and more HC experience.

Bottom line is HY couldn't get it done.

Do you? I know enough to know a brand new HC that's never had complete control of an offense before isn't going to be stupid enough to take the reigns rather than let the OC actually do his job and design the offense around the team he has. You think Coach O came to LSU expecting to run the kind of offense he's running right now? At most he'll have heavy input on the run game since he has experience in that regard and delegate the passing game and QB development to coordinators. It's not hard.
