I don't even want to think about how many coaches with mediocre resumes must have turned us down. Everything's fricked here

If it’s Pittman, it’s much more than that and you know it.
Yep. I'm shocked he hasn't had an HC gig crop up somewhere before now.

And he was really, really bad at it.

He took OM's recruiting to a completely different level.

He improved SC after Kiffen was fired and again had LSU playing better after Miles was fired.

Everyone know he could motivate a team, recruit his arse off, and be a CEO type coach. LSU actually paid to put together a staff around him, something OM wouldn't do, SC thought they could do better and they were wrong.

Agree, and let’s face it, our program was soft from the top down since Pittman left. Pittman is most definitely not soft, and neither will our players be. Georgia places an extreme emphasis on S&C, so I assume we would as well. I look forward to seeing some toughness out of our guys.

Then went winless in the conference with it.

Mike Irwin, as much as I think he's an idiot, was calling Pittman days ago. Yurachek may have wanted Pittman all along. It'll all depend on who he hires iyam.

Yes it does. You know there’s 2 separate definitions correct?

The second definition is a synonym of success

Word is Sam lobbied hard for weeks to get an interview and did well. Like Muss, he convinced HY he really wanted to be here and had a plan to succeed. This is what we’ll be told anyway.

I'm aware and this hire fits neither.
If anything it fits the first better because this will be a bloodbath

HY will also add in that no one else was offered the job and it was important that UGA be allowed to finish the regular season before the news broke.

I will be surprised if Cheney follows him. During his last tenure, I heard from his neighbors that he and his wife hated it here.

I hope he brings a DC that can work with basically nothing.

If he can get the offensive and defensive lines shored up via development or transfers we could get ahead of schedule to become competitive.

By far my favorite part about the hire. We absolutely have to fix our lines to be competitive again and this is without a doubt the best guy for that job.

Literally the model being implemented by the #1 team in the country but we're too good for it, I guess. We're too busy being upset at losing an overrated media darling that would have dumped us for another job in 2-3 years.

Problem is you have no idea that he intends to be a CEO head coach...that's the problem...he has no HC experience to point at.

Ed O tried to manage everything his first HC job....it took him failing at Ole Miss to learn to step back and just be a CEO
