You think Coach O came to LSU expecting to run the kind of offense he's running right now?
O wouldn't have a job right now if he didn't change the offense.

Don’t hate the hire. Do hate that it took 3 weeks to land someone that nobody else wanted.

If it’s Chaney. I’m porn bombing. Nothing against Chaney, just more of me hating how this search as went.

Which is exactly why I have no clue why people are freaking out. He could very easily assemble a great crew. Dude's done nothing but consistently recruit and develop his position at an elite level the entire time he's been in the SEC. People are going to want to be on this staff with the money we're ready to throw around.
Pittman could be really good, with high quality assistants at OC and DC. Imagine having a HC who excels at recruiting, and his players love, and will kill for him. He could do the CEO thing, and be the ultimate closer on the kind of talent we need to compete.
I can get behind this.

Your assuming he knows what he wants his team to look at at this time, fans certainly do not, there is nothing to reference to.
If the plane stops in Knoxville on the way back, no one will be surprised.

O literally was previously a head coach in the SEC and improved two teams while carrying the interim tag at two different schools.

Yuracheck I’m almost positive did this last week and pulled off a coup like he did with Muss. Nobody and I mean nobody thought Muss was coming here. I like how Yuracheck works his searches

No but he did come with a philosophy. He had to change it or he was on his way out.
We all know what Pitmans philosophy will be. He will not be afforded the time to change like Ed O.
If he brings in Chaney it will be a death sentence

At Ole Miss, Orgeron recorded only two wins against teams with winning records (the 2005 and 2007 Memphis teams, which both finished at 7–5)—the fewest among active SEC coaches at the time. Until the 2007 season, he enjoyed the public support of The University of Mississippi's chancellor Robert Khayat and other administrators with oversight of the football program, including Athletic Director Pete Boone. In a November 2006 article in The Clarion-Ledger, Khayat said of Orgeron and the poor win/loss record since he was hired (7–14, at the time of the interview), "I think Coach Orgeron inherited a very difficult situation....I am 100 percent behind him, and I think that people ought to understand that he has a big challenge."
In 2007, Ole Miss finished the season 0–8 against fellow SEC teams, and 3–9 overall. It was the program's first winless (conference) season since 1982. On November 24, 2007, after Ole Miss blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead to in-state rival Mississippi State in the season finale, Orgeron was fired. He was replaced by former University of Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt (who had resigned from the Arkansas program three days after Orgeron's firing).
Fired for Houston Nutt.

And he was really, really bad at it.

If it’s Pittman, it’s much more than that and you know it. He isn’t just Georgia’s oline coach. He’s also one of the best recruiters in the country. He is also one of the most respected coaches in college football. He also had an entire group of former players advocate for him with the university.

HY played this so close to the vest sources knew jack shite. internet rumor was we wanted Kiffin, sexton obviously helped fuel that. who's to say Pittman wasn't who HY intended to hire for awhile now and was just waiting till after the conference championship game to announce it.
