Wow. Your "logic" is incredible
It’s pretty logical to know this surgery was going to happen before an ok came from Tua’s mouth.

It's absolutely not. That's making an accusation of malpractice

In the second quarter? When have you EVER seen a coach take out their starting qb in the second fricking quarter? Idiot.
Up 35-7 less than 3 weeks out from surgery, yeah that would be unheard of, idiot is right.

I'm all for Saban bashing, but I think the statement is fine. He's basically talking about how tough Tua is and his will to give 100%.
If you want to talk about should he have played fine. The way he was "barely walking" after the LSU game I probably start Mac jones vs Miss St. They win big either way. Or at least pull him when you go up by 3 scores. The docs/trainers and coaches should have stepped in and either made Tua sit or limited his play.
They also skipped concussion protocol on one of their WRs in the Tenn game after a head to head targeting play where the WR went limp. So if this is a standard at Bama then Saban should be held accountable. But the statement quoted is fine.

You make it sound like it takes an act of God for UA to schedule a quick surgery.

This is a standard for saban and has mentioned several times.

In that length of time, they didn’t have time to look at other options, or really discuss the implications of it amongst their family. Y’all can play naive all you want, but these surgeries were strongly recommended.

It’s making an accusation that the kid’s going to do whatever his coach recommends, don’t be dumb.

Are you under the impression that they are completely clueless about the other options for these types of injuries?

How long do you think that discussion should last?

No one on this forum hates Saban more than I do and I loved watching LSU bury Alabama for his stupidity. And I’ll give you all 10 fun facts that you can chew on ...
10 Facts on Saban Decisions
1. Tua was brought back too early for LSU.
2. Saban made THE decision to play Tua.
3. Tua didn’t practice properly for LSU.
Note: Oeaux has practice rules to play at LSU and similar rules obviously were not in play
4. Tua was clearly reinjured in LSU game
5. MSU was an easy win no matter the QB and Saban should have started Jones.
6. Any other coach has his backup in there late in the second quarter with a 35-7 score, esp if the QB is in his last year with program
(2-min drill nonsense was a lame excuse)
7. Tua got himself hurt by not dumping the ball quickly enough to avoid contact and just waited too damned long to throw it
8. Saban is just (honest) noting item 7 above
9. Tua’s parents could have insisted that he not play when it was absolute common sense not to play in the LSU game and MSU game. Granted the kid is eighteen but that’s truth.
10. In the end, Saban is looking for closure as he clearly is a MAN TORMENTED by all this.
In the end, Saban is not A PIECE OF TRASH JUST A MAN INCREDIBLY TORMENTED
CASES CLOSED ON FOOTBALL
However, any peckerwood who would ruin a beautiful lake by soaping his nasty old white
arse in the lake, never having heard of septic systems ... There’s a reason SEPTIC is used to describe the system ... Anyone who would do that shite knowing his neighbors swim that lake and have to ingest that garbage is akin to a LOWLIFE PISSING A MUNICIPAL POOL and therefore a piece of trash ... yes !!!

Well he’s injured and having surgery the following morning, probably 12-14 hours after his injury might be a little shorter period than I would want for an unnecessary surgery.

He's right. Both injuries this year were due to Tua waiting too long to throw it away.
I agree with this.
Especially in the context that Tua had already had the ankle surgery. Play smart and dump the ball quickly on a busted play.

I can't figure out if you are a complete idiot, or a troll. The medical staff determines whether a player can safely compete not the coaching staff. The head coach has no say in the matter and he was cleared to play.

It doesn't take that long to decide whether or not to have a surgery you had a year earlier. They were obviously pleased with the results last year, so it was a quick decision to do it again. This isn't hard.

I was actually talking about the first surgery here, keep up. His first surgery, was 12-14 hours after he was injured. I was proving my point that he didn’t have time to rightly decide If the surgery was the best decision.

If I wasn't enjoying these folks making a fool out of your simple-minded arse, I'd suggest you read NCAA protocol for player injuries...........but this is too much fun, so carry on.

Good to see crispy coming through with the emotes... you’re either 60+ years old or a kid, I’d guess a senile old man.

You are severely overestimating the time it takes to decide what to do.
