I’m kidding CG. My cousin from Beaumont was the XO of the first sub that struck Iraq in the first Iraq war. Went on to Admiral. Now he’s working at the pentagon.
Wasn’t an Aggy though. Annapolis

You'll notice that every Aggie 4-star has been either Army Air Corps or USAF.
It's true that A&M commissioned more officers in World War II than USMA and USNA combined.
Neither of those academies have forgotten this, which is probably why the highest rank an Aggie Soldier, Sailor or Marine has ever held was 3 stars...

Not understanding this. They have a resentment against Aggy for commissioning more officers?
Also, I thought Annapolis commissioned Marines? No? I’m probably wrong just thought since it was part of the Navy, then the USNA would commission them.

No, they resent it because our leadership rubs it in their faces.

Between the Army, Navy and Marines, A&M commissioned nearly 21,000 officers during World War II. They accelerated the process by pumping out Lieutenants and Ensigns after only 1 year on campus.

Judging from this board; I can see that!

The thing that really sucks is that, unlike other ROTC programs, you can't consider it a Minor at A&M, so the classes are basically empty credits.

I wasn't. I had to buy my jizz jar in the bookstore.

I was a lucky one. My fish camp counselor gave me his. Still had some leftovers in the jar too

I'm just a "sidewalk fan", as some of you knuckle draggers like to call it, but my brother and grandfather were in it and served.

Do the “cool” kids on campus look at them dudes holding their wieners and yelling as nerds?
Serious answer: Some.
There's two kinds of people in the corps. The ones that are serious about getting their commissions and making their career in the military. And the dorks who think the uniform will help them get girls. It's about 50/50.

I was. SafetySam was. CGSC Lobotomy obviously was, and TBird. That's all I know for sure. There may be others but I doubt it is many. Probably about the same proportion as Corps vs. civilians at school (about 4%).

Why? Why are they doing that? Seriously....
