It seems every other college stadium is named after a former coach, etc. Some even have another name attached to the field.
Has there ever been a push to name Tiger Stadium after someone? If so , who?
And for the love of God, if you ever do change the name, please don't put a corporate name to it, much less a grocery store chain name.

IMO, it is better that a name is not attached to it.

That was an embarrassing move by the Wildcats.

We are thinking of doing like Bama did with Brian Dennehy stadium and naming it after a famous character actor. So maybe Charles Durning Stadium or Richard Jenkins Stadium or David Staitharn Stadium.

No look it up there is a reason why it’s unlikely to ever be named after a person

No. It is too iconic of a name now. If it wasn't named after Huey Long back then it will never be named after anybody.
