With three weeks until kickoff in Bryant-Denny Stadium, it’s unlikely the game will be moved to a primetime kickoff on CBS, AL.com has learned.

Should there be interest from CBS to negotiate a deal with ESPN, the network would have to contact the SEC office to initiate that discussion. To date, no such contact has been made.

I love the 3:30/2:30 time slot after daylight savings time ends. Cool fall afternoon, turning dark in the 4th quarter. Perfect time for football.

Agree - post DST all the 230 games are dark for the 2nd half. I'd probably pick an old school ESPN 6 PM start as my favorite, but 230 in November is just fine.

Probably best for LSU.

New offense showcased in the sunshine on the road.

Could be just the spark the Tigers need to break free from the script of the last several years.

In 1982, the Tigers went to Legion Field and finally got the monkey off their back with a big 20-10 win in the sunshine. LSU ended the game less than 10 yards away from scoring another touchdown.

After that my recollection is that LSU had a monster win over FSU, oranges were tossed onto the field and they didn't play anyone else that season. The End.

You sure? I've heard things about Joe. He made need the extra couple of hours to recover from the night before.

Not sure if that Yankee can get the job done this year, but he is sure fun to watch

Was it 2007 Alabama-LSU that CBS had a 4:00 kickoff time?

Well, ya'll pretty much have owned us 8x in a row at night, so I'm not upset about a daytime kickoff....

It's still going to be pretty tough for LSU but crowds are usually more intense for night games. Can't complain if this is a day game.

Only once in Tuscaloser. All the LSU games have been at night, my only day game was the 2010 Iron Bowl. Buddy had an extra ticket. Very fun game.

Welp.

Looks like I'll be watching this game at 4:30 AM.
