The Cardinals offense was pathetic vs the Nats.
They scored fewer runs in their 110 plate appearances in the NLCS than they did in their first 9 plate appearances in the 1st inning of game 5 of the NLDS.

If we want to be a big market team we need to make big moves. Snit has had is time. A fair shake. Joe Girardi is looking for a new home. Cubs made their hire. Mets don’t look interested. Do it. If it doesn’t work out find someone else.

Right now they are in the perfect spot for max profit. Hang around the league average in payroll while fielding a team good enough to win the division and have a few home field playoff games. To really get the team over the hump they need high dollar pitching. We will find out this offseason how committed they are to the product. My guess is they let all the one year guys walk and replace them with much cheaper options and we head back to bottom quarter of the league in payroll.

frick the Natinals.

This better put pressure on the FO to make the moves that enable the Braves to win the WS next year.

And keep the tomahawks.

The Braves could have never done what the nationals have done. No pitching depth. No clutchness.

I'm too deep into some Coors Banquet to retort that right now.

But I still disagree.

Disagree with what? You think Folty, Dallas, JT or Fried could have taken the Astros down? Or anyone in our bullpen? We have soroka and hopefully Anderson can make the jump next year.

The fricking Gnats. They’re a little more tolerable without Harper, but that’s tough to accept seeing as how we had our way with them.

I don’t know if we have a Scherzer type personality in the clubhouse. That guy runs the team. What will it take to get Snitker and the Braves over the hump? I’m not sure Snitker will ever win it all.

Soroka/Fried/Folty when they are on their A game are just as good as anyone.

Verlander's lack of success in the World Series is well known.

The Nationals bullpen was shite this year - even worse than the Braves.

It doesn't matter at this point. TBH, I hope the Nationals present their WS rings at a game against the Braves.

Better managing as well. Braves could have easily advanced to the nlcs if snit doesn’t overmanage. And these guys NEVER learn. If a guy is throwing well, leave him in I’m begging you. Look at geinke last night. Also, the manger was too scared to bring in cole, the best pitcher in baseball, in the middle of an inning? Are you serious?

Cole/Verlander/Greinke are way better right now.

Folty is bipolar. Fried is not consistently dominant either, though I hope he breaks out next year.

Nats bullpen was not good, but it was managed differently in the post season. Nats have SP depth so they could use Strasburg/scherzer/Corbin out the pen. Red Sox did the same last year.

Braves have to develop their arms to a point where we can realistically compete because we are not buying big arms.

Braves open the 2020 World Series Las Vegas odds with 10:1 odds.

It'll be interesting to see how the off season moves make that shift.

That rustles me. You have to have dominate pitching to make deep runs.

That's a good way to free up money and a roster spot for Strasburg.

Braves sign O'Day to a 1 year/$3.5M deal. I like it
