How do you feel about permanent opponents?

Had a blast in Nashville and I’m looking forward to going back to Athens for the first time in over a decade.
Mullen came out against it now.
How do you feel as a fan base about it?
Inb4 scared of Florida. Literally saying I want to play UGA more, who’s clearly a better team.

I’m a 9 sec game with permanent rival proponent.

Irrelevant as VOLS are an auto win for every SEC West school except Auburn but I am on board with permanent opponents because of how much it triggers LSU fans.

I want Bama’s win streak against Tennessee to reach at least 30.

Permanents should be allowed if the two schools both want it, but it shouldn't be required if some don't.
I'd love to play at UGA more than once every 15 years.

I’m for keeping permanents and adding an additional conference game. I like playing Florida every year.

I feel better when they actually make sense long term
UK vs UT in basketball was the correct play
ESPN had UK switch to UF and now post Donovan that sucks

It's ridiculous. Why should the gumps get an extra bye every year?

If you won the West a little more often, you might play’em a little more often.

UK plays Florida, Tennessee and Vandy home and home every year in basketball, not just UF.

But not AT UGA, which was my point.

Love them...as do 9 of my conference brethren’s ADs

My apologies, knee-jerk reaction to so many bad threads. This place will ruin you.
I agree not getting to play South Carolina for ten years is wrong. I think we should add another conference game and keep the traditional rivalry games. Perhaps re-structuring the league divisions to accommodate that while increasing the frequency of match ups.
There’s a whole bevy of smart frickers at these institutions, why can’t they come up with something that appeases everyone?

They’re outdated and need to be done away with.
UNC and Wake Forest showed us the way. Bama and Tennessee can play as a non-conference game every 3.5 years.
Same with AU-UGA and LSU-UF if they wish to continue playing annually.
SEC Championships won’t be legitimate until there is scheduling parity. As long as a top-2 (usually top-1) SEC team gets to play a cupcake every year (as a conference game mind you) while LSU and Auburn play the two top teams in the East, the lack of parity and the degree of cowardice by Alabama are pathetic and disgusting.
Let Tennessee and Alabama play every year — as a non-conference game, if they do choose to. Get on a regular rotation of scheduling with regard to playing teams from the other division.

I suppose I'm for it because I would really hate to lose the Auburn and Florida series. Playing those two just seems like a fall ritual and there is nothing wrong with some tradition, even in changing times.
I do think the league needs to go to 9 conference games, with the extra teams a lot of years can go by without teams playing each other.
