No.

Hard to look stupid with 100+ wins in a decade and multiple natties, a house a Lake Burton, some exclusive beach place on captive island, a Mercedes dealership, and so forth and so on.

It will negate his entire life.

The End.

Jalen Hurts cost himself the position at Alabama the last 2 games of the 2018 season.

Vs Auburn Hurts passed for 104 yards and produced 14 points in a loss.

Vs UGA in the title game Hurts had like 21 yards passing and 0 points in the first half. Tua came in the 2nd half and threw for about 170 yards and produced 26 pts for the win and another national title.

Nick Saban gave him more chances than he deserved. Tua should have been starting by the Auburn game.

That said, Jalen will put up gaudy stats in the no defense Big 12.

edit to say that rival fans told us for 2 years that Jalen Hurts sucked.

Nope.

I don't think Saban could do much to look stupid. Dude is the greatest coach I've ever seen. Not sucking the Bama dick but its true. With that said, I wish he'd fricking retire already or go coach the Browns.

No, Hurts fits that system and the Big 12 Ds well.

He is a tremendous athlete. And, an even better teammate and competitor. One of my favorite Bama players all time.

But, without Kiffin dialing up the magic, he looked vulnerable against teams of equal talent that could contain his run threat and force him to try and beat him with his arm.

Personally, I think Hurts is more of a Saban style QB. Ball control, mature, takes what the D gives him with a unique explosive ability and decent (albeit somewhat erratic arm) deep ball off of play action or on the run during a busted play. His only real knock is his inability to distro the ball well as he locks in on his main playmaker.

That said, Tua has a cannon for an arm and is as accurate a QB as Saban has ever had. Given the WR talent, it was a simple choice to go with the best player that could maximize the talent around him. Without Tua, even injured Tua, they would have been half the team they were last year. It was one of Bamas worst Ds in a decade. The offense carried the team and hid some defensive deficiencies by jumping on teams early and breaking their spirit/forcing a gameplan change.

Didn't Tua put up gaudy stats last year in the defensive juggernaut SEC?

Well......I mean you have to adjust for playing half a game for most of the year right?

Yes he did, and quite frankly, if he played for Riley in the Big 12 he might set records that would never be broken. Even at Alabama he set the all time ncaa record for passing efficiency, playing half the season on a gimpy leg.

Jalen Hurts vs Auburn: 104 yards and 14 points in a loss

Tua Tagovailoa vs Auburn: 370 yards or so and 52 points in a blowout.

Yeah. I see your point.

I hate when people try to relate games especially in separate years. Hell, even the same year. Look at 2017 au vs Georgia games. Completely different.

Also 2017 AU was much better than 2018

The guy that Saban decided to bench Hurts in favor of went on to have arguably the greatest statistical season by any QB in the history of the sport. So no matter what Hurts goes on to do at Oklahoma, it would appear that Saban made the correct decision to start Tua, as is his wont.
