Football talk: Arky fans, what are your expectations?

Howdy all,
in the interest of generating some actual discussion, let's start with the Piggies.
What are you looking for in this season?
What would you view as success/failure?
Do you like what Aggie-Chad has done so far, or was he saddled with a poor roster due to BB ?

4 wins. The talent issues and transition issues are just too profound for this roster to make serious noise. What this year is for, is to gain the younger influx of talent some valuable on the field experience, and to try to be more competitive on a consistent down to down basis.

To pretty much suck.
And no, those of us with a brain do not like Aggie Chad

6 wins is a success this year. Less would be a disappointment, more would get Morris coach of the year. I don't think people quite understand how much damage Jeff Long did to our program.

Who would have been your personal homerun hire?

John Gruden obviously or some other hilariously non-realistic candidate.

Whose your RB's? Arkansas seems to always get a lot out of them.

People like Chad just fine. Dude brought in 4 4* WR's this past class. We will be much improved at QB. Not to mention Hudon Henry, Hunter Henry's little bro and one of the top TE's in the nation.
We will win 6 games, with the possibility of 7 if we win the bowl game.

Rakeem Boyd and Devwah Whaley. Boyd will be one of the top RBs in the SEC, if he can stay healthy.

LOL. If we do it will be because 4 of those games are against high school level teams.
Even that didn't help him last year though. It will be fun to watch regardless

I don't see how you can make that statement.

I think we win all our OOC games and hopefully one SEC game, for a total of 5 wins. I can see possibly winning two SEC games, Ole Miss and Kentucky. Although I wouldn't be surprised if went 0-8 again in conference.

He played behind what was arguably the worst OL in the SEC and still averaged 6.32 YPC in SEC games. That was 3rd best in the conference and he was hurt a good portion of the season. He’d easily be in that conversation at a school with a better OL than us but that’s going to end up being his downfall in an awards or accolade conversations.

5 wins is doable, like to see us get at least off the SEC snide this year. Man, that hurt to type that.

Barry Odom is getting his team in the right direction but there are some MIZZOU fans who do not think he is the right fit for Missouri. Missouri had some bad exposure that made it harder for Barry Odom but he is doing a great job holding the team together and finding a good replacement of coaches and he had NO head coach experience in the college level. I am not sure what to expect from Chad Morris this year. Might be similar to Barry Odom. build up the right way. slowly winning more games each year.

If there is one thing we can agree on it is probably that watching RB was the highlight of the year last year. Kid is pretty good. Maybe not best in the SEC but still good

Well he rushed for 100 yards against Bama. And would have had 4 straight 100 yard games if he didn't get hurt against Tulsa(still rushed for 99 yards).
Boyd will be good, especially if he stays healthy.

This is honestly a fair take and pretty well where I stand. I think we win at least all OOC with MAYBE an SEC win if we get lucky somewhere.
My issue with that is a 5 win season will be looked upon as some huge accomplishment compared to the 2 wins we had last year. Morris was smart to set the bar so low in his first year.

5-7. A good coach would go 7-5
Morris pro:
Decent recruiter
Trying to change culture left by fat arse
Offensive philosophy that can work with our recruiting limitations
Morris cons:
Couldn’t get by in from Bert’s players
No in game adjustments
Very poor week to week game planing
Gets out coached on game day
Horrible record
