If you are not willing to tell us anything about the business, don't throw stones at someone when they call your bluff. To sue the NCAA, it would require them to file in Civil Court. You think that would have slipped under the rug in Alabama ?

So teams in the west have been able to pad those winning columns with Arkansas, Ole Miss, and MState. Thanks for showing the rankings.

So then you'll stop crying about UCF.

Well to put it in perspective while LSU struggled for decades Tennessee was a great program. LSU has been a very good program the last 16 years and TN has been very bad for that time frame. Why wouldn’t they be that high considering their history prior to the early 2000s. LSU significance has increased only since then. Not a flame but for those of us older than 35 your perspective on history and programs is certainly different than those who have only been alive for 20 years. To them if you think about it Bama is probably the greatest program they’ve ever seen but they don’t remember the end of the Stallings era until Saban arrived.

I have no problem with UCF
However after WWII the polls became standardized, but if you want, we can count Alabama's 29 national titles..which by the way is the most.....

I do not say the business because I respect his privacy (although he has since died, he was in his 80's.) He had a gag order placed on him after he won. So even in civil court, it would have been sealed, but it was known that he was doing it.
Call my bluff? To do that I would have to be bluffing.

I mean, you admitted previously you didn't know about 1941. So at least you learned something today.

Did you live on the mountain? My mother literally moved us off the mountain to avoid having the send me to Emma Samson. I was only 2 years old, but I guess there was redistricting, and she had a fit (according to my father and grandparents)

It is as valid at that time as any other poll.

I do not think I ever did. However show me the post where I said that.
I have always said that Alabama has won NC in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 60's, 70's, 90's, 00's, and 10's, only missing the 50's and 80's.....

I really grew up in Huntsville, but since I had family in Gadsden, it was almost a weekly trip back there. I worked in the Gadsden Mall for about 4 years, and saw my first Chik-Fil-A open (may have been the first in Alabama, not sure.)
Good times, girls from Hokes Bluff, Glencoe, and Attalla
edit to add- do you remember the name of the pizza restaurant that was just off Broad Street headed toward 431?

What a team accomplishes should be the criteria, not individual accomplishments. All Americans, Heisman Trophies, NFL draft picks, and first round picks are INDIVIDUAL accomplishments. Take these categories out and recalculate. The highest points awarded should be for a National Championship actually won on the field, then a National Championship awarded by pollsters, THEN a National Championship "claimed" by the school. The fourth highest points awarded should be for a conference championship, then overall winning percentage, then Bowl winning percentage, number of bowls etc. Any "opinion based" crap such as AP poll rankings should be low on the points awarded list.

I would rank that lower, not all conferences are created equal. Maybe the record against the top 15 schools all-time in wins.

Yeah same here. My mom lived in Attalla and my Dad lived in Huntsville where I went to school. So every weekend back to Attalla and much of the summer too. First Chic Fil A I saw was in Huntsville Madison Square mall, we called in the "super mall" at the time. It is no longer there.(neither the mall nor Chic Fil A, of course)
