How many JUCO in your class?

And how many do you expect to sign?
We had 1, but he decommitted. I don’t really expect any unless we are trying to fill a spot or two late in the cycle.
Odom doesn’t seem to like to recruit many JUCO players unless there was a previous connection.

Juco CB Nadab Joseph is the only one Bama is recruiting. Bama could've signed him out of HS but wouldn't let him sign an NLI because he was a very high risk of not qualifying. So he flipped and signed with UGA, and then failed to qualify. He redshirted his first season (2018) in juco, so he'll still have three years of eligibility.

Joseph signed with UGA out of HS. I wonder if we're still recruiting him.
If so, he's the only one I know of at this point.

I suspect Ole Miss will sign around 3

None committed but we are trying to sign a JUCO CB

Mississippi State's class has 10 juco commits.
ETA: Miscounted at 9, corrected to 10.

It’s actually 8 as 1 will reclassify and another is being dropped for off field problems. Of the remaining 8, 4 are the top rated player at their position, all positions where we lose starters next year. One was a Bama signee that didn’t qualify one was one of our sign and places another was a Kentucky transfer. Then one has 3 years to play. Another is a 6’5 receiver that runs a 4.4 and another is a Florida State transfer. A lot of high potential guys and Juco is frankly one of the only advantages State has in recruiting so they may as well take advantage of it considering some of our best players of the last 10-15 years have been Juco guys. Multiple have or are in the NFL now.

Bill snyder made a career off it at ksu. I'm not aware of any juco players we are after, though i could see us going for a juco LB in the future

Looks like 4ish for AU. Two OL and two DBs.

Just Ali Gaye I think. We recruited Domio and he silently committed but flaked out.

South Carolina has one currently in OL Jazston Turnentine, out of Hutchinson C.C. A huge 6-7, 340 dude. His commitment was kinda a surprise and there really wasn't a lot of news about his recruitment before it happened. We really don't have anyone else we're trending with for the 2020 cycle, that's a JUCO prospect.
For 2019, we brought in DL Devontae Davis out of Georgia Military, and tried to bring in DL Jahkeen Green out of Highland C.C., but Green wasn't able to get his grades right for admission, and ended up going to Nebraska instead.
We have had JUCOs for both offense and defense often in past cycles, but lately there hasn't been a lot. The staff has mostly looked to the JUCO ranks to refill the defensive depth earlier in Coach Muschamp's tenure at USC:
(2018)DL Jabari Ellis
(2017) OLB Eldridge Thompson
(2017) DB Keisean Nixon
(2017) OL Dennis Daley
(2017) DB Kaleb Chalmers
(2016) DB Jamarcus King
(2016) DB Steven Montac
Daley, Nixon, King, and Montac became regular starters for us. Thompson has played often in the depth and is expected to be part of the LB 2-deep this season, and Ellis red-shirted last season and will be part of the DL depth. Chalmers wasn't much of a factor, and transferred out.
We also have DL Javon Kinlaw who spent a year at JUCO, but we were recruiting him prior to that out of HS, so I don't consider him part of the list.
But we've recruited 4 JUCO DBs during Muschamp's first 2 years at USC, plus brought in two grad transfers (JT Ibe (Kansas) who's still with us, Nick Harvey (Texas A&M) who transferred out) PLUS have had a regular transfer in Jamel Cook (SoCal), so our secondary recruiting has been questionable overall. We've finally gotten some good DB talent depth out of high school, and hopefully continue that. Muschamp and T-Rob are supposed to be pretty good DB recruiters and coaches, but thus far at USC they've had some hits, but a lot of misses as well....

He wouldn't count as a 25 counter for us so I don't see why not

JUCO recruiting is such a crapshoot. You’re doing well if 50% of them pan out.

Auburn currently has 3, 2 OTs and a CB but could sign another CB in Brian George and will probably start looking for a DT since they have none in the class and need help with depth next year I could see them singing one DT

Looks like a Jackie Sherrill recruiting class.

Damn, whoever ends up getting this kid qualified is gonna have a good player on their hands. Bummed me out when he decommitted from LSU but I guess it wouldnt have mattered anyway. Good player.

Miss St does have a more Jucos than I like but that’s better than taking a bunch of low 3 star guys that aren’t SEC worthy. Then when you consider that some have three years left and the new 4 game redshirt rule it’s not so bad. Mullen left us in s bit of a bind on the depth chart and you gotta do what you gotta do. I am liking what Moorhead is doing, I just hope this season makes me want to keep him to find out.
