***AMENDED: Greatest SEC QB that I've ever seen (last 30 years). Greatest college QB of all time might be a little ambitious!!!

Change my mind.

On second thought, don't change my mind. That would be impossible. All of you who dare disagree can independently kiss my pasty white hairy a$$!!!

No one ever anticipated and no one ever put the ball right in there with remote control like Danny MOTHERTRUCKING Weurffel, buddy!!!

I'm seriously not playing either.

He's a great person, though...I have great respect for him. And, I thought he was a very good QB.

I respectfully and strongly disagree. "Greatest." Not most physically gifted. I'd bet that you aren't old enough to remember Danny Weurffel. As a Georgia fan, trust me when I say that Danny Weurffel was the worst and the shittiest QB to go against.

He was a great one, no doubt. Greatest of all time is tough, though.

I thought Eric Zeier was the greatest college QB of all time? Isnt that what UGA fans peddled for years ...

I watched Danny Wuerffel throw 5 TD's in the first half against us in 1995. He could have thrown for another 5 or 6 if he'd played the entire 3rd and 4th quarters.

Noooo. I don't remember Georgia fans ever peddling that any of their QB's were the greatest of all time.

We've had some good ones, though.

Fran Tarkenton
Matt Stafford
David Greene
Aaron Murray
Jake fromm

I remember a time when the very best QB's came out of Louisiana.

Bert Jones
Terry Bradshaw
etc

I’d go with Mariota. He was insane in college.

I do think Wuerffel gets overlooked too much when the discussion of great SEC quarterbacks comes around. People forget how good he was. And there's no doubt no one got more out of his physical ability than Danny.

I still have nightmares of what he did to LSU in the 90s. As much as I hated Florida at that time I couldn’t help but to like Danny.

Wasn't worth the draft pick for sure.

Another guy that was better in college than the NFL.
