I know it was obvious but also felt like it deserved a thread. Biggest game in Sanford in a while.
And ticket prices went up just a little more.

Bet Sankey's getting calls from mad bammers

Love it for the fans, but a 330 games in the heat and humidity in the south could have been another feather in our hat since Notre Dame wouldn’t be used to it

Me once gametime rolls around that night

If we win a close one that night, just go ahead and shut down 316 and 129 for the weekend. No way in, no way out.
Have to keep the public’s safety in mind.

One underrated thing about this I like is that for the first time in what seems like ages CBS is using their 1 night game a year on something other than bama/lsu. Will almost look weird seeing that game at 3:30 instead of night.

Won't be any sun shining, but it will still be plenty hot and humid in September at 8PM.

I'm sure the week leading up to the game will be littered with fans demanding we wear black

I'm praying for hell's heat that day. If it gets hot and humid enough during the day, maybe we can get some heavy rollover into the night.
I'll happily suffer through the swamp arse of a lifetime to help make sure ND is as uncomfortable as possible.

I grew up in Winder and I can tell you it is still hot enough to make a difference even at 8pm kickoff. I look forward to that game, but the team has to focus on Vandy first.

No tickets, but I least I will get an extended tailgate party. Then it will be DT to watch. Or if I can get a DD, maybe quickly ride home an watch it there.
The light up in the 4th will be epic!

Expect some new lighting effects in Sanford too. Seen videos of the lights doing all sorts of crazy stuff at night and during the day after they installed new LED systems.

I can already feel the anxiety from how crowded everything is going to be

Just be sure to direct all the out of towners to Last Resort and Mamas Boy and things should be fine

I can't even imagine how long the line will be at mamas boy on gameday morning.
I know it's popular and somewhat of an athens institution at this point but I've still never eaten there. Every time I pass by it it looks like at least a 30 minute wait, eff that.

Mamas Boy isn't worth its typical wait time.
Plus, on gameday all you need is Waffle House or Choo Choos leftovers from the night before. You're going to be either violently puking or shitting after the events of the day anyways, you might as well lube everything up by trashing your body.

I’ve eaten at both and neither are worth the aplomb they receive. It’s a running joke among many of my friends to refer people to those two places under any circumstances because it’s the stock answer 95% of people who went to UGA seem to give to people who visit Athens for the first time even though there are superior restaurants all around town (not that LR or MB are bad they’re just not ever going to live up to the hype, let alone the stupid wait times).

There are excellent biscuit and breakfast places all around Athens that are as good or better quality than Mamas Boy (Strickland’s, Striplings, Biscuits and Burgers, Biscuit Express, Mayflower). For my money, I want quality plus efficiency so I can get my shite and start my Saturday. People who waste time standing in line at a restaurant on game day are out of their mind

I'll tell you waht I want, I want to eat at the dining hall again. I fricking loved the dining hall (every one of em) but they're all closed on gamedays except snelling I think which isn't convenient to me.
I can't even begin to guess the number of times I demolished the Chicken Country Unlimited and hibachi sections of O-house.
