the first bar I'd ever been to. The first time was probably my first or second night in Athens and we just hopped over that old wooden split rail fence when the bouncer wasn't looking. After that I got a fake and although I was 18/19 at the time and looked about 12 (I look much younger than my age) my fake said I was like 24. It was made well though so didn't have any issues.
I understand why it closed down (it sucked) but still it felt like a part of my college experience died.

Sorry for it being a little off topic here, but wondered if y’all remembered Will White who used to run the place around the 2001-05 time frame. He was a great guy, always awesome to everyone. Passed away back in April. So sudden, and so sad.

After we got banned, the team got to know the bouncers at Flannigan's really well and the tenders there were hot, so we went there a lot, but spent most of my time at Uptown Lounge
