They are pretty equal, but I don’t actually care about watching college baseball so I’ll go with the retards.

Cowbells for me. Mississippi State only has them because they have sucked historically and people felt bad so they just let them ring the bells. But it’s ear piercing in a game.

I don't mind the odd cowbell here and there. What I do mind is being an Ole Miss fan and having them ring them right in my damn face or ear. It also really sucks getting hit in the head with one.
That being said, I won't watch a Vandy baseball game on TV with the sound on either so I rank them equally annoying.

In my case, BobLee, It wasn't a deliberate act. There was a state fan behind me and he got excited and his bell hit me in the head while he was ringing it. He apologized and we were good. Still, getting hit in the head with one really did suck.

I’ve never heard the whistler in person, but I’ve visited MSU for football.
I’ll never return, due solely to the cowbells.
No human should be subjected to that foolishness, and I’m shocked they’re permitted.
That said, I’m a fan of MSU folks.
Just wish their game day experience wasn’t so lousy.
