Started today. Just wanted to create a space to post links to times, info, etc.
I’m not sure how this translates to the field, but these are some crazy athletes. How the hell did Demas float like that?

Random Updates I’ve see on Twitter
A few of the 40s
quote:
Clemson DT commit Bryan Bresee just flat out dominant on his first three reps in OL/DL drills, winning them handily. Showed an impressive blend of speed and power, a guy that can beat you in a lot of ways
quote:
#UF QB commit Anthony Richardson has impressed me so far at #TheOpening. More refined mechanics and footwork than I expected. One of the strongest arms here

I think it should be out of Burch, Bresse, and Demas for the number 1 player in the class

Are the 40 times going to be published or do they charge $ for that data now?

Trying not to drink the maroon koolaid, but I agree on Demas. Top 5 player and #1 WR.

Dude is legitimately Baby Cam Newton.
If he keeps his nose clean and has the mental faculties to grow into a Quarterback and not just an athlete throwing the ball, he will be a Heisman/Championship contending player, regardless of the personnel around him.

How does one get DQ'd in this event? Do they only get one toss and he stepped over the line or something?

5 Star WR Demand Demas throws the football farther than TJ Finley, 62 yards.

Demas threw one 62 yards as well. He wasn’t in the comp, but he would have been tied for 5th.
Edit: Too slow

I know Bresee lost 2 of 3 drills against Tate Ratledge.

I think we have seven current commits and maybe five other hopefuls at The Opening.
The highlight of the day for me was seeing Lloyd juke a Penn State LB commit out of his shorts and then do a back flip into the end zone.
This is Tank doing the high high five with him afterwards.

I think Lloyd is a beast, but this drill makes next to no sense for me. You never have that much time to do absolutely nothing and then make your move.
I don’t understand why they do this at every camp.

Agreed. Plus he fumbled without getting hit.

What a weird thing to celebrate

I dunno. Not even going to try to pretend to know. I might venture a guess and say it is an open field drill of some sort.
Watching film of Lloyd he does it quite a bit in real games .... he just jukes defenders out of their socks time and time again.
His HS coach has gone on record saying no LB will be able to cover him out of the backfield.
But I dunno about that particular drill. Obviously, LBs do win that drill half the time from what I saw on the highlights today.

Yeah, he does it in game in a very impressive form. He’s arguably my favorite back in this class behind Evans. Think he has so much skill.
His move wasn’t as bad as some of the ones you see posted where the ball carrier runs completely lateral for 3 seconds before making his jukes. I just don’t understand why people go nuts at them or show them off when it has next to no translation on the football field.

In the Opening thread on 247 there were pages and pages of Aggies mad that Fleming was ahead of Demas...then Fleming ran the exact same 40 as him at 25 lbs heavier and had a higher total score.
I think Demas is fine where he is; I mean he is #2 WR and #11 in the country. People get mad just to be mad (I wouldn't be filling up pages if they were switched for example)

By 25, do you mean 9 and a half inch shorter?

They said Finley just flicked it on his 58 yards, didnt even really try
Reminds me of when Jamarcus Russell was here and standing still could flick a ball 60+ yards.
