No. 12 Ole Miss (40-25) at No. 5 Arkansas (44-17)
Saturday - 11AM ESPN
Sunday - 2PM ESPNU
Monday - 3PM ESPN2

Who's going? Unfortunately, I can't go as I have other plans. I hope we have some kind of crowd there but I expect 99% hogs. We just need to win two and we go to:

I love this quote by Grae Kessinger about playing at Arkansas:

quote:

"I'm not really sure what it is," Ole Miss shortstop Grae Kessinger said of his team's success at Baum. "I don't know. It's a good place for us though. We're locked in every pitch. We love the atmosphere. We love having everybody against us. I think we come together and we play well."

Wish I were going. Gonna be hard as frick to win 4 at Baum in a single season, but the day games are probably better since we’re on the road, and there are worse places we could play. Arkansas is fricking good, and almost certainly has revenge on the mind, but we know we can beat them

I don’t know how many tickets Arkansas allotted to us but I know we sold out, called the ticket office yesterday.

I’m cautiously giddy. We have a very flawed team but we are hot, and it would be just like us to have this kind of team succeed and make Omaha rather than our teams with year-long prestigious resumes that always seem to fail.

Part of me truly thinks that paired with the disappointment of last year and this draft this year.. the guys have finally realized this is it for them as a team, that it all comes down to this playing together.

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve had a negative outlook on the team for most of the year and it was partially deserved .

But something appears to have clicked with them and I hope the train keeps rolling

Will’s head is already in minor league ball. Bianco needs to pull him asap

I don’t understand why we didn’t pull the pitcher and put a lefty like Phillips in the game. We could’ve just pitched our game one starter out of the bullpen this week. It is one of the reasons why we don’t have much postseason success. Bianco just isn’t a good manager.

Back to playing dumb. Hit and run and Kissinger doesn’t swing at a fastball down the middle.

Anyone who is surprised by this hasn't watched Ole Miss baseball for very long. I'm out checking the score but not actually watching the game. Unless we are up and about to win the damn series, I won't watch us choke another Super Regional away like I did with Texas, Miami, Arizona State and UVA.

Ethridge, Cioffi, Hill, and Myers. All hands on deck tomorrow. Nikhazi, Carracci, and Miller all will pitch. And to answer the question about using Roth or Phillips, those two will probably get the ball on Monday if we make it there. No reason to burn them in a 6-1 game.

They punched our arse squarely in the mouth. Let’s just hope we can respond tomorrow.
