AU-UGA moving earlier (auburn247)

Wow - I can't believe this is actually happening.

It's possible the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry could remain in September and October through 2024, one source said, but those details have not been finalized.

The move marks a massive change for the rivalry. The game has been played in November each time the Tigers and Bulldogs met since 1937

Auburn vs Georgia in September would just be......weird

Makes zero sense for Georgia to agree to this. McGarity is reenforcing the idea that he’s a little bitch boy.

I wish LSU and Alabama would follow suit.

Would have preferred to have fixed Amen Corner's home and home issue, but I don't mind it. I have always thought it would benefit the SEC East if it had a big end of the season game between in uga and UTk or something.

Honestly I think Alabama and LSU would both be in favor of that. I would.

Georgia and Auburn have a 100+ year history of that game being at the end of the year. It's pretty wild to see it changed.

Auburn gives McGarity the deep dick once again. They fricked him once already by getting two home games in a row, have no intention of paying it back and they have McGarity doing their bidding again.

McGarity is a cuck and it's Georgia's own fault for sticking with him.

They’ll probably move it back whenever this shitty rotation expires and make sure Bama/UGA are Home/away in the same year.

How did that get messed up in the first place? I know y'all hosted Georgia in both 2012 and 2013.

Auburn pussing out because Bama and UGA are both good and it’s hard on them (which I suppose has never been an issue since WW2 until now).

UGA pussing out arguably even more by even entertaining this change. Only positive I can see is that it moves an otherwise challenging opponent to earlier in the season so as to free up the schedule later on for a postseason run. Still, this fricks with longstanding tradition for the sake of doing Auburn a favor.

Got fricked up after expansion in 2012 altered the schedules and playing at Auburn back to back was the easiest solution for the conference at the time

So auburn doesn’t want to play rivals later in the year but is going to agree to play their rivals earlier in the year with auburn and Tennessee? Makes sense.

Nah...It would be strange, but UGA and AU have played in October quite a few times since WW I.

But the last time this game was played at any time other than November was back in 1936.

We also don't know yet that this is a done deal. Another SEC game would have to be displaced, and whomever that opponent is...they may not agree to switch their game.

Because playing GT is the same as playing Bama.

If Auburn can work over UGA like this, maybe it's time to request that tWLOCP rotate between Jacksonville and Gainesville.

As long as McGarity is there you probably have a real chance of making that happen. Apparently he likes getting fricked over, Auburn has had him more often than his wife.

kirby has said before he wants it to be home and home. Between that absurd thinking and our gutless AD mcgoo in about 10 years from now UGA's schedule won't have even a small smidgen of old school SEC history left in it.

I'd prefer to play @UGA two consecutive years and get back on schedule, but I don't hate this.
