If I didn't know Jarrett was committed to LSU I'd think he was committed to Bama due to his comments. The guy sounds like he has Amari and Julio posters up in his room. With that said, the Boutte kid could very well be in play but due to politics and in-state pressure he may be holding off on flipping.

IDK, man. To me, Boutte's interest in Bama seems genuine. I won't be surprised at all if he ends up flipping.

Jarrett in the other hand...I have no clue, but other than retweeting some post Bama visit articles, his Twitter is pretty much all LSU.

I agree with this, but if momma wants him at LSU, he will be at LSU.

I think Boutte genuinely likes both programs a lot ("50/50") and that his dad may be right there with him. BUT, it sounds like momma wants him close to home at LSU. And if momma ain't happy... Following Jarrett's OV, I think Bama has a better (and pretty good) shot at flipping him.

Apparently according to Shea Dixon at LSU 247 bama should get Gibbs from Georgia. Would love to get him or even Evans. Also does anybody got a clue with where we stand for Guillory?

Yeah, Shea said he thinks LSU is now the team to beat for Evans and that Bama can land Gibbs if they press for him. Guillory has been to most, if not all, of LSU's home games and hasn't visited Bama since summer. LSU's confidence level is very high with Guillory.

Anyone know what's going on with Arian Smith's recruitment right now? Just kind of quiet?

4-star WR Arian Smith 6-1/170 FL hudl

Smith's OV to Bama is set for LSU game. He's down to Bama, Clemson, UGA and Oklahoma. His HS coach compares him to DeVonta Smith, but faster (close to Ruggs). With Smith now above Xzavier Henderson on CU's board, UGA is pressing more for Henderson lately. Bama's QB outlook (Young) and early departure of starting WRs as high NFL draft picks are advantageous selling points.

CU and OU can sell QB, passing game and putting WRs in the NFL, but their depth charts show a lot of young elite WRs. CU RB commit Bowman is Smith's HS teammate, but it's not a big factor. I doubt UGA can get Smith with their QB outlook (Beck) and run-centric offense. UGA recently lost an elite in-state WR (Haselwood) and QB (Vandagriff) to OU.

I think our chances with Smith look pretty good.

At this point Evans will end up Penn State or Wisconsin just to screw with us all . LSU insiders are all in on Guillory being 100% lock and just wanting to announce on the big stage.

frick, man. You ever think about using a period or something? Reading that made my brain hurt.

As for Hall, what grade concerns are you talking about? He's only a Junior.

Oklahoma and Miami offered him this week, too.

He must have put out some nice film or something.

I want someone in the know to way in on Ricks. If I had one to flip from LSU it would be him. OV the weekend before the dead period and an EE sounds very promising especially there does not seem to be a lot about him and very quiet

Idk what Smith's coach sees as the primary difference between Devonta and Ruggs, but I sort of agree with that assessment and want Smith at #1 on the WR board. I like the skill players we have, so I'm really just hoping we replace same with same lol... so, Tua with Young, Ruggs/Devonta with A. Smith, etc.

Three-Point Stance: Heisman contenders, best defenses, recruiting

quote:

How about the QB battle between D.J. Uiagalelei and Bryce Young this past weekend? Uiagalelei is our No. 1 prospect in the country and Young is on the cusp of five stars and likely to earn that coveted status when we re-rank in December. But which one is the better college prospect? That’s going to be quite the debate when we have our meetings in late November. Young is committed to Alabama and Uiagalelei is committed to Clemson and I could easily see them battling for a couple of national titles over the next few years. Young got the better of it on the field against Uiagalelei and his team Friday and could be Alabama’s starter as early as next season.
