Aah, that's too bad.

As with all stories, the story grows as the onion is peeled back.
Young Eduardo Gutierrez, a promising young STs player and slot receiver in the 2029 class from Henry S. West Laboratory School in Miami-Dade County, has been preemptively ruled ineligible by the NCAA after photographic evidence emerged of others completing his work for him.

Ole Miss being in trouble was sticky worthy news for three straight years
That's because Ole Miss was poking their finger in everyone's face, have boosters suing recruits and NCAA investigators, and were lying to the press about the severity of the matter. They were denying, covering up, blaming other schools, and eventually trying the case in the press.
Mizzou got hammered harder than Ole Miss did which is a shame. Ole Miss's academic fraud portion of their case was as bad as Mizzou's...and that was about 25% of the entire case.
Mizzou has a right to be pissed, and I bet they have this softened on appeal. They self reported, they actually did cooperate, and they got hosed.

yes ole miss the great cover up artists. A classic state tactic. Ross is a liar there’s no denying that and so is Freeze. We self reported the academic stuff genius just like Mizzou but Freeze was too stupid to keep his mouth shut. We get hit with just probation most likely if he knew how to keep quiet but hey you can’t fix stupid. It was stickied so much was because of this is our rivals board and they hate us even though they’ll never admit it.

This is laughable. Ole Miss didn't self report the academic stuff until they were confronted with it. They even rehired the coach that was involved in it, Yancy.
The only reason a "rival" got involved is because Ole Miss was colluding with media outlets to keep it hushed and lie about the severity, when that guy had been interviewed by the NCAA and knew the truth. He wasn't interested in helping collude with the rest of the media to protect Ole Miss. Anyone on your side of the fence would have done the same thing, and much quicker.
shite like this is why the Ole Miss case was front page news. It was just a constant stream of nonsense from you people and everyone knew it.

I know dumbass that’s how self reporting works. We then turned that info over to them triggering the investigation just like Mizzou. I literally said that Ross was a liar and please find where I ever said to the contrary. He and Freeze tried to lie their way out. I wasn’t even talking about State. I’m talking about stickied here and LSU again stupid if you could look at what I was responding to. If you guys weren’t snitches maybe you wouldn’t be so sensitive
ETA: as you clearly can see your first post that you quoted I was responding to ibldprpandgld a notorious state fan

This looks really excessive to me.
I mean, there have been many more serious violations with much less punishment, I think.

I think we have the crux of the issue here.
Lose a scholarship in the sports for a year, have a small reduction in allowed visitation for a year, and a year or two probation and no one would have batted an eye.
This is like getting 15 years in the Big House for jaywalking.

If this was Alabama, they would have "handled the matter internally" and the NCAA would have been fine with that.

Peeps, like Mizzou or not, realize this for the bullshite it is, bc it can happen to your University too, esp if they tell the truth (about something they knew nothing about before the fact)

If you want calls from the refs going your way,
and you want shite like this to go away......
you need a guy on the inside.
Also helps to have a bagman and a barber.
