That’s a pretty harsh penalty.

TigerCruise can you park this link in your OP? LINK

This little tidbit inside the link....

On Thursday, Kumar posted an account on GoFundMe.com titled “Whistleblower Legal & Expense Fund” that was seeking $35,000 to cover her legal and living expenses. Kumar, a 43-year-old single mother, began working as a tutor at Mizzou in 2010 but resigned last month. The GoFundMe account shows that it raised $340 but Kumar has since deactivated the account.

Kumar’s efforts to raise money for expenses could raise suspicions considering her background. According to online court records, Kumar was convicted for passing bad checks three times in 2009 and 2010 and given a suspended sentence of 30 days in jail that was reduced to two years probation. Online court records show Kumar as the defendant in several rent and possession cases filed by property management companies. She’s scheduled to appear in circuit court Monday for the latest eviction case. She also filed for bankruptcy in Cole County in 2005 and in Boone County in 2012.

The NCAA is an impartial judge and jury. We should thank them for the selfless work they do to try and ensure a level playing field for all.

A Muslim tutor assisted players in their grades. The university knew nothing about it. The university found out about it and they self reported it. The NCAA delivered the bowl ban.

I think that's it, but correct me if I'm wrong

I have no idea but I am guarantee there will be a protest if this stands. Possible a riot. Mizzou have been attacked from all those years and tried to recover but every time something is improving then the something else bad happened at Mizzou. Nothing new. This is now the time to fight back.

I’m not offering any opinion on this whole situation. In all honesty I had actually never even heard of this, had no idea it was a thing lurking in the shadows. Just think that a NY6 bowl sounds pretty ambitious, even with Kelly Bryant.

BTW, I do totally agree that this punishment sounds very over the top

Do you know the reason for harsh punishment? Some of the NCAA investigators are Kansas graduates. Kansas hate Mizzou. I am not surprise about this but why are Kansas graduates allowed to investigate this that is a conflict of what is fair against Mizzou.

What are they selling as her motive for this? She was playing the long con to try and blackmail the university? Isn't it much more believable that she was paid off by the university and then scapegoated?

There's plenty of non athletes failing classes too. Why wouldn't she take some of them on to pay bills before the blackmailing could pay off?

Either way. I hate the NCAA. Very definition of hypocritical. And I feel bad for the Mizzou fans.

If we're real, this is taking place at most places. Shoot, even regular students are wrongfully passed to keep the Aid $$$$$ flowing, keep success numbers inflated, etc....

They deserve the punishment for being so effing stupid to admit to wrong doing when the NCAA had nothing.

On the plus side, now that it's been confirmed that Mizzou is in the running for most racist university in the SEC east and cheats (all be it like a toddler), then they must feel part of the SEC for real.

That's a bull shite punishment that doesn't actually do anything. The program still keeps whatever profits accrued over that time as well as any recruits signed from games won during that span.

They have to return trophies and take down banners, though. Which probably explains why Ole Miss doesn't display that Sugar Bowl trophy anymore.
