Coley to OC would be a very, very “meh” move.
He was so bad as an OC/play caller at his last stop that he didn’t even. Make it a full year...
IF Chaney is out, I sincerely hope it’s because we are going to go out and get a legitimate offensive mind.

Chaney is a solid OC but we need more than solid; we need innovation that keeps even the best defenses guessing. We need an OL that can get give us a yard when we need it most instead of running into a brick wall on way too many downs this season. But when your OL can't get the job down we need an OC who has the presence of mind to develop winning plays and call them at the right time. Chaney is not that guy.

Everybody keeps saying Coley is a bad move, but there is truth to Jimbo wanting him at A&M. Why? Is there more to the struggles at his last stop than just him being a bad OC?

Jimbo runs his own offense. He wanted coley for the recruiting chops.
Kirby needs a dynamic OC. IMO, it’s one of the few staff positions where on field coaching is actually more important than recruiting for us.

Not sure how I feel abt this. I never liked Chaney, but promoting Coley seems like a downgrade.
I hope Smart makes the right move here as this is a massive hire if true..
It would also make sense as to the Juniors on offense leaving early...it would actually make a lot of sense

IF this is in fact the case, and the statement above is true that they want Coley to open things up a bit, are we to all believe that Fields wasn’t made aware of this before transferring? Heck wouldn’t that be right in his wheelhouse?

I thought that was pretty obvious with me asking the question. 
I wasn’t asking for Fromm to be benched, he’s our guy in my opinion still...just a simple question.
