2018 KY and Scar were games I still don't know how he figured out how to lose. Vandy was one play away, OSU is arguable but they finished 3-6 in the Bevo

2017 A drubbing by Purdue, KY, Scar, and a 6-6 Texas team that didn't bring their best players.

2016 we sucked but still Middle Tn (that was a good one), a dubbing by TN, and Scar and KY

I'm just looking at 2018. We probably could have and should have beat Kentucky and S. Carolina and could have and should have lost to Purdue(the refs took that td away from them which should have been a td) and Vandy complained that the last play of the game was pass interference on Mizzou that would have given them the victory. Mizzou would have still finished 8-4.

Okie Lite's record was misleading, because they beat Texas who totally out-played Georgia and they beat a good WV team. They lost to Okie by one point going for the 2 point extra point and was stopped short. Mizzou losing to Okie Lite wasn't too bad in a close game.

Why? We won 8 this year and let 2 games slip away.

Because letting games slip away is what Odom does.

His in-game management hasn't improved since letting Georgia off the hook in 2016.

Why would we expect it to magically improve now?

2013 Auburn (kul and the DL lost that game for Pinkel)

Sorry that brainfart belongs on the doorstep of Dave Steckel.

Sure Stec was the DC. But the position group that was constantly out of position against Auburn was the DL.

Auburn manipulated that DL better than South Carolina did earlier in the year.

The loss to South Carolina in 2013 was on Pinkel. He made Henson roll up the playbook in the second half. Even with Stec rushing four vs Max protection and Connor Shaw on one leg that game never should have went to overtime.

Auburn ran Buck sweep at least 25 times and that game and Kul never adjusted his DE play. We do what we do.

But we also won two close games? Is that what Odom does too?

Or is it that close games could go either way and going .500 in them is about right?

Refs didn’t help in the Kentucky game

Or the South Carolina game...

Yeah, it’s almost like close games have a tendency to go either way....weird

Yeah because Odom did a beautiful job calling the second half of that Kentucky game and it's totally on the refs

Weird indeed

No more on the refs than the Purdue and Vandy games.

In the end, we were exactly what our record said we were. 5th of 7 teams in the East and a not quite top 25 team.

Win a close game...refs bailed us out.

Lose a close game...our coach sucks.

Boring and predictable

That's about right. It's why expecting 8-5 is being realistic.
