From a practical perspective, Fields is the only other scholarship QB on the roster if something were to happen to Fromm in the bowl game.

Do not let facts get in the away of speculation.

He keeps up with recruits that spurn UGA to sign and play for other schools too.

What is Kirby supposed to do? Clean out his locker and throw all his personal belongings away?

I think the coach/school can still prohibit transfers. A big deal was made about Dabo giving one of his players a free and clear release to transfer to USC this year. That would not have been a big deal if he had no power to prevent it.

Yeah, that one was a little sketchy in how it went down. When both sides sign non-disclosure agreements (which is why Dabo agreed to let him go), something's up....

If the kid and going to school, practicing and playing I am not sure how he can claim hostile environment.

Usually if the environment is hostile you walk and complain.

That seems to ring a bell. Where have I heard that before?

Still trying to figure that out. I do know for sure it wasn't Alabama because they would never treat a kid poorly.

Kirby is buying some time to convince Fields that he should redshirt next year to get a year of separation from Fromm. He can play in 4 games and will be the go to if Fromm goes down. He will have 3 years of eligibility left after Fromm goes to the NFL after his 3rd season as starter. Fields, if he is all he is alleged to be as far as potential goes, will be ready to go after only 2 seasons as UGAs starter. He is allowing him to stay to give Fields more time to assess this option. If he still transfers, at least Kirby gave him time to make that decision and it looks like the stand up thing to do with future recruits.

What dumb thing for a student to yell. Especially one on scholarship.

Yes, it was. I think he yelled, "Put the (N-Word) in!"

I can honestly say I have never used the word. I don't understand people who do. I am not a Politically Correct person, but that's just human decency to me.
I don't get it.

If Fields leaves in a fit of pique he is an idiot. He should stay and red shirt next year. Play in four games then take the keys to the Ferrari in 2020. Don't drive a Pinto.

One thing I never understood about the Jimbo wife situation (and I do feel bad for the man): how did she find a young dude to hook up, particularly an athlete that could probably have any girl he wanted? She looks like a complete hag.

Well do you blame him. LOL! It's fun to watch him squirm a little though. Good news is no one is ratting out the Dawgs here. It takes two to tango. So you've got guilt on both sides with eligibility, taxes and so forth going on and likely the NCAA doesn't want to hear it either in a high profile case. Best thing is Fields goes on to OSU or maybe UF or where ever and let any sleeping dogs that may be laying under the porch lay there in peace and quiet.

You're dreaming. He's gone but Kirby doesn't need to further antagonize him or the family. And you and the world knows why. But that's the game with a recruit of his stature.

The timing was shite right before signing day. Fields brought some of that ire on himself by allowing the it to get to the media instead of letting the school announce it. Instead a shite journalist put out what read as a hit piece on the school and people weren’t happy about it. That said, many people wish him well and maybe he finds a good fit for himself. It seems pretty irrational to me when it’s all but given he starts in 2020 with what looks to be one of the most loaded rosters in the country and the fact the he’s going to sit a year regardless unless he goes d2. It just seems he was upset with his use this year and I can’t blame him but he has a chance to get a ton of reps next year and have the reigns in 2020. This transfer world of freshman jumping ship is one of the more frustrating things in college sports.

When Kyler transferred, A&M teammates cleaned out his locker and left his shite in the hall. Maybe that is where you heard it
