Non LSU fans, do y’all think he’s funny, cool, and interesting? Do y’all think he’s doing a decent job? I’m curious what people outside of LSU think about this guy.

I think he’s great for the SEC. Conference needs more coaches with personality

I like him- he's interesting. I think he's doing pretty good actually, I definitely don't see him as some major downgrade from Les. But I was never a fan of Les and his fake stupid act, O seems far more real to me.

He's a walking Peter Principle.

Personally, I like him

One test I do to really evaluate a coach is this: if I take the coach in question and plug him in as the coach of the HS I went to(or another HS im familiar with) how much at all better would they get.

For coach O it would probably be slightly better than what we had which was pretty average.

Orgeron is a good coach and a good guy. I think he will always have LSU playing tough and disciplined ball. Seems to a good recruiter. Will always be at least a 10 win coach but his division is tough. Don't think he can get LSU back to the promised land as long as Nick is coaching. Division and schedule just got tougher with Jimbo at Aggie and Mullen at UF.

He's obviously a solid coach and seems like a good rugged personality fit for LSU. He just reeled in the #4 ranked recruiting class with three 5 stars. I don't see how there could be much to complain about.

They got what, 9 wins, and a top 10 recruiting class. I think he's fine.

He's a great fit for LSU culturally and he's a solid coach. Not an upgrade from Miles, but certainly not a downgrade either. He's nowhere close to as "bad" as some LSU fans make him out to be.

He seems to have a plan and a vision for his program which is more than can be said for at least one highly priced HC in this division.

He is entertaining.

LSU seems to get the coaches that are the most interesting.

I don't think he is the guy to get LSU back into the national championship hunt, but you never know. It seems like he is recruiting well, and he has an excellent DC.

But just like Les, it seems he has yet found a way to install an explosive offense for LSU --- which is kind of crazy given the talent at skill positions LSU typically pulls. Maybe a much better Oline and all of that changes.

I think that he is doing a pretty good job for LSU. Was surprised to see that he was the one who was hired for you all.

How do most LSU fans feel about him?

I really like him. He's entertaining and energetic. He's fun to have in the conference and generally a likable guy. He also fits the mold of what I expect for an LSU coach in the sense that Harbaugh does at UM, or Meyer did at OSU, everything about Orgeron just screams LSU.

I'm not well versed in what's going on with LSU, whether it's Aranda working magic or what, but he definitely outperformed my expectations this year.

All of that said, I don't think he'll ever win a National Championship which is the expectation at LSU so yea, I dunno, take from that what you will.

I cannot stand him...his entire persona and career is one of bullying, head butting, sucker punching, braggadous, woman stalking. His personal record reflects his coaching record...both are pretty unsavory.

The details behind his submarining Miles and his beyond marginal behavior at Old Miss are not pretty. And...he is crooked as hell. As at Old Miss, he will have LSU investigated and possibly on probation before has sorry arse is terminated. If you want a throw-back POS coach, be prepared to get that in the football team too...and I doubt that a “Mike Ditka” type coach, all emotion and undisciplined behavior can go very far in this era of football.

There is a reason most other head coaches can’t stand him and it isn’t because he is good...it is because he is dirty... the spear of Tua when the whistle had blown wasn’t an accident.

Slightly above average coach. A step down in recruiting from Miles, and runs the exact system. He is a Cajun version of Miles. I like him though. Very entertaining.
