That's precisely what I've been saying. The one play at a time wildcat run was stupid. You are absolutely right about that.
Only someone who is completely dishonest and refuses to admit the truth would deny what you just posted. It was never about Fields starting. It was about developing, and nothing we saw showed that Smart had a plan to do that.

For the record, Dan Wolken is a sorry piece of shite. Trying to make something out of the Sasser situation (for which the kid was quickly dismissed) is horeshit of the highest caliber.

Could all be be bullshite.
But other than timing I don’t blame him. If he can’t ever close the gap of Fromm’s extra year of experience he cant risk never getting PT. We’ll never know how hard he was working or how far along he was.
I also agree he was misused this year and can’t stand trotting him out there for 1 play at a time. Should’ve been redshirted to create separation and given time work on his skills, timing and reads.

This is pretty much my thoughts to a "t".
I hope this is fodder than Kirby can overcome on the trail, because it will unquestionably be used against us.
Even though Fromm earned that job with how he played in the Florida game and beyond, there were things besides starting Fields that Kirby could've done to make today's outcome less likely, and it's painful to lose a top-flight talent because of it.

What the hell is there to analyze about being used as a one play at a time wildcat QB who rarely throws the ball in any meaningful game? Ever heard of small sample size dumbass? It means there is not enough data to draw any meaningful conclusion.

I have a couple thoughts on this. IF this turns out to be true it is catching Kirby off guard. No other way he would blueshirt Plumee. Also, when you recruit a 5 star QB you have to be prepared for them to transfer. It is something like 16 of the last 21 have transferred. It’s just the reality of the situation, and it is common so I don’t think it is something to worry about from a negative recruiting standpoint.

Bravo! That's all that needed to be said. Some folks need to shite on Fields for their own sake, as well as refuse to admit he was used poorly this year. It was a wasted year for his development.
Smart should ask him to come back, and if he can't win the job, take the redshirt or use the year for development. If Fromm doesn't leave after next season, he would help him go wherever he wanted.
