Head Coach Base Salary / Athletic Program Profit
Sorted from Worst to Best Ratio
Missouri - Not material, had negative profit
Kentucky - 74%
South Carolina - 63%
Alabama - 53%
Auburn - 46%
Tennessee - 36%
Florida - 35%
Ole Miss - 34%
LSU - 22%
Arkansas - 21%
State - 19%
Georgia - 17%
Texas A&M - 11%
Vanderbilt - Undisclosed
Seems to me A&M got a good deal. People need to realize what A&M paid Jimbo is equivalent to Bill Gates buying a yacht. While expensive to the world, it's pennies in the grand scheme of things.

Most coaching salaries have a base amount that is covered by the athletic department and the rest is covered by boosters/endorsements.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You’re competing with smart post for dumbest posts.

This doesn't add up.UK most likely makes more basketball money than any other SEC school along with its FB revenues
Sounds like some strange accounting

Revenue - $130,706,744
Expenses - $125,333,866
Profit - $5,372,878
Stoops Salary - $4,000,000
$4,000,000 / $5,372,878 = 74%
Expenses - $125,333,866
Profit - $5,372,878
Stoops Salary - $4,000,000
$4,000,000 / $5,372,878 = 74%

Does this factor in the 10.4 million Sumlin buyout?
What's the % if A&M kept Sumlin with pretty much the same results as Fisher

I don't think "profit" means what you think it does. If you think Saban is being paid 53% of Bama's profits, revenue, or endowments, you need to get your $ back for whatever education you paid for. The SECCG and CFP payout, even we shared with the SEC, more than covers Saban's salary.

These numbers are 100% accurate and very meaningful

Saban's base salary is $245,000. This season he gets nearly $10.9 million in other compensation. That includes a $4 million one-time signing bonus that Byrne says is a recognition of what Saban accomplished in his first 10 seasons at Alabama.Oct 25, 2017
you might need to reconsider your numbers. 245k is what bama pays saban. dou your math off of that.

Is Missouri losing money on their football program? If so, this needs to be discussed. shite Swastika U needs to explain.

Coach Fisher’s salary is ridiculously high; few would deny that.
If he wins, it’ll look like money well spent.
If he doesn’t win, it’ll look like a mistake.
Time will tell.

Best investments sometimes are the ones you are smart enough not to discuss

It comes out of the AD budget so it doesn’t matter

Non-profits don't have profits. They have excess revenue or sometimes a budget surplus and typically what you would consider an income statement is often called a statement of activities. What they do with this is dependent on how they function. Sometimes they will allocate it to towards capital expenditures, the university's general fund, or a sinking fund to payoff bonds.

Also, it is dumb to look at they head coach's salary instead of the entire budget of the football staff. If you fire the head coach typically only a couple of the on the field staff members will be retained. They will also be under a contract.
basically you dumb.
