Pettibon #72 announces transfer plans
Pettibon was injured early and never seemed to have recovered his momentum towards regular playing time.

"Petitbon, a redshirt Jr, who graduated in May 18, will be immediately eligible for another school as a graduate transfer.

A former top-65 recruit, Petitbon got set back by a torn ACL in April 2016 but has worked at every position along the offensive line for the Crimson Tide the last two years and has appeared in six games as a reserve this season."

Of course, most consider Jalen at the 1st member of this list, but since he has not announced, Enos seems to be in line to stay at Bama, wont list him until he formally announces.

The next several weeks there will be the Dec 18 graduation, and the NFL declaration date... and as new recruits join the team, many may decide to try an easier route to playing time(this is about upper classmen who may have redshirted and have had a hard time getting on the field and not new recruits)

Hear that Ben Davis has told the staff he plans to move on also. More to come

Someone posted that Keaton Anderson was honored at the senior day ceremony. Now whether that means he's just hanging up his cleats or looking to transfer and get one more year in somewhere else I don't know.

Hope the best for Ritchie, that injury changed his career course. He was competing for a job on the right side way back, then gets injured before fall practice.

Apparently Maryland is one of his potential destinations, would be nice for him to go into a scheme he knows and get a chance to start. Wish him the best

Saw where Anderson was starting a masters degree. Probably just going to hang it up and focus on academics. Transferring in the middle of a masters isn’t really a thing I would imagine.

He mentioned that he is finishing his Masters in Marketing (with 4.0 GPA) so I believe he is taking it to the house. He was part of Senior Day and there really hasnt been any discussion or mention of playing somewhere else. (Last year I think Derrick Gore who was a walk on did that, went thru Senior Day and then trans out (UL-M?) for his final year.

With graduation tomorrow, everyone should see who is finishing and who has work to do to degree up. imagine some of the guys who have been here a minute and dont see an increase in PT may just decide to move on...

Anyone have any idea about Elliot Baker? Having just Graduated and redshirtiing last year. Maybe he can head out to play with Thibs at Oregon? (went to San Fran City Comm College or something like that I believe) But most any of the PAC12 teams could use him

Crazy that Baker had a big rep coming out of JUCO and never even figured in the two deep. I’d imagine he moves on. Might need to drop a level if he wants to get on the field.

I may be late to this, but is Eyabi Anoma on his way out as well?

LINK

Nick Saban gave an update on freshman outside linebacker Eyabi Anoma Monday afternoon.

quote:

Anoma, a former five-star recruit who was recently named to the SEC All-Freshman Team wasn’t present for Alabama’s practice Monday and then sent out a cryptic tweet that read, “Made a decision and will stick by it."

“I haven’t really had the opportunity to visit with him," Saban said. "He has a personal day, I guess, to sort some things out. Hopefully we’ll be able to get him back on track here soon.”

The Baltimore native has played in 11 games as a reserve for the Crimson Tide, posting nine tackles and two stops for a loss.

So Anoma expected more playing time and wants to transfer? Wow.

If you look at his twitter now, he replied to someone asking if he was going to transfer and said no, then retweeted someone else who said "people are just talking... they take tweets too seriously"

It’s sad the attention these kids generate over a damn tweet.

Dude could be having girl problems and send this fanbase into a frenzy with one tweet.

Not saying that is why he missed practice. People just need to not take an 18 y/o’s social media so seriously.

Looks like Fields is gone.

LINK

Freshman quarterback Justin Fields has told the Georgia coaching staff that he is looking into transferring after the conclusion of the 2018 season.

Fields asked to have his name included on the NCAA Transfer Portal list. The transfer portal took the place of the release student athletes needed to get from their coaches to speak with other schools.

Fields and his family are expected to consult with attorney Thomas Mars. Mars was instrumental in helping a number of Ole Miss student athletes appeal the NCAA rule that requires transfers between FBS schools to sit out one year. Those athletes, notable Shea Patterson of Michigan, were allowed to play immediately.

I just wish every time he made a play he didn't also commit a 15 yard personal foul

he was at practice today. If you are leaving you have to enter the transfer portal soon so others can legally contact u

on another matter I saw a twitter post that Jalen applied for grad school at Bama and was accepted. This sounds like good news.

Awesome if true. He has a lot to offer now that he can play with confidence when he drops back to pass.
