with our football program, beat writers, click bait articles, and someone not stepping up and taking control of the situation? Obviously, Gus pissed off Fat Marshall and all of the other cronies, then you have all these other idiots acting like insiders spreading false propaganda and nobody is stepping up refuting the garbage.

Yes. The bammers have been wanting Gus out for awhile, they smell blood. That is all.
AU leadership has always been weak towards the media. Tubs had to go at it alone.

We were not in any real “championship” talks in November any of those years. Maybe mathematically still alive in some outer-space scenario. In fact, I’d say the writing was on the wall for a disappointing season in most of those seasons outside of 2016 by the end of September.

2012 was worse to me. When the team flat out quits on Gus like they did back then, then it’s got a good shot to be #1. Thought I’m shocked they didn’t quit this year...had every reason to

Well, the flip side of that was it made it much easier to pull the trigger and sell it to the fans. I believe if our team had quit on Gus and finished the season like we did in 2012, Gus would have been fired.

2012 was much worse, but we deserved it. Now too much click bait from our own writers, but Auburn has always had terrible beat writers who slant Auburn stories to the negative. At the same time the state papers slant all Alabama articles to minimize the effect.

I can tell who wasn't around for the Tub years. Try being the most talented team in the country and get drummed by Arky every year. All of you would lose your shite if Gus promoted his OL coach to OC.
