Will be at Georgia Tech (Paul Johnson just retired) by Jan. 1, 2019

Can still live in Auburn and commute
(yeah, I know Bowden is at Akron now, but I'll bet he still owns the house he lived in from '93-'09)
What is it about Auburn that makes it such an attractive place to live for disgraced former head football coaches settle down even after they've been forced out of their jobs? I'm surprised Earl Brown didn't retire there after he went 0-10 in '50

Could you imagine what Gus sounds like in a job interview? Would love to sit in on his next one.

Fired after Bama game in Tuscaloosa in November 2020 after 5-7 season
(2019 season is typical Gus bounce back season of 9-3 with surprise win over LSU)

Dec 5th
Two weeks prior to early signing (Dec 19th?) and well before the bowl game. So as to hold onto whatever recruits AU can, give the next guy a game to see his team, and come up with the cash. You'd play along as well if it was going to cost 30something-million to bolt on your own before then.
