Does the new CFP ranking mean we have a chance to become L9U before the season is over?

LSU will refuse invite to play Bama again on basis of wanting to forever complain about conspiracies and mulligans.

Meeting again, I am taking the over on the next game. The over will be set at 58 and I think the score will be 59-0

It will never happen, but the storyline is what dreams/movies are made of.

The irony of backdooring the playoffs, winning the mulligan game, then winning the national championship would be too much for LSU fans (including myself) to handle. It would be the ultimate revenge for 2011.

Yes. Just have to get to #4 in the rankings and the rest will take care of itself.

I can't tell if these threads are serious, but LSU has about a 0.003 percent chance to make the playoff.

If LSU happens to back door in as a number 4 seed and of course gets shutout whacked again by Alabama what will happen is the LSU Tr fans will claim a conspiracy. Emmert (who went to the U of Washington and Syracuse) and NCAA conspired to make them play Alabama, and LSU really should have been ranked 3rd or even 2nd, and it is another scheduling corruption by the SEC office and NCAA, and the officials were assigned by the NCAA president who is as friend of Saban's and the FBI should be investigating the rampant and obvious PEDs abuse at Alabama, payment of players, etc.

Then LSU fans will post that Alabama football is "all those people have to live for because they live an a terrible place with nothing to do" (ignoring the beaches, Mobile Bay, mountains, waterfalls, canyons, wild rivers, piedmont, relatively safe cities, clean countryside, good roads, and comparatively low taxes).

The blubbering, melting and hate will continue until late summer when the level of the Tr cesspool begins to rise again, eventually overflowing again with optimism and hate onto the SECr Repeat, rinse repeat.

Yea I agree you should definitely wish for a rematch.

I sure as hell do.

The quicker we get to 10 in a row the better. L10U isn't very aesthetically pleasing.

If we played Bama 10 times this season, how many do you think we'd win based on last week's performance?

I disagree with all this, but I'm sure we'd still flame the board if we were scheduled to play again.

There will have to be multiple 3 loss conference champions for LSU to get in with 2 losses and not winning the SEC

Keep the dream alive, but there is no revenge for that.

Just accept it and move on.

Looking very forward to making it LXU in 2020

I can't even manufacture a scenario where LSU would backdoor their way in.

If Michigan loses, Ohio State goes.

If ND loses, the B12 champ goes.

If other chaos happens, Wash St goes.

If even more chaos happens, you have to finally let UCF get a crack.

Clemson is in regardless. They won't drop past 4, even if they lose the ACC championship somehow.

I just don't see it, baws. As much as I'd love to beat y'alls arse again, it's not happening.

“Well, obviously a loss to No. 1 Alabama was seen by the committee, but LSU does have the most wins against top 25 ranked teams from this ranking this week,” Mullen said.

"They did beat Auburn, Georgia and Mississippi State. So, the committee weighed that heavily with their only losses being to Alabama and on the road to Florida. So with that strong defense, still felt they were a good team.”

Sounds like the committee is leaving the door open for LSU.
