That position change was widely questioned in August but looks genius at this point. He finds his second level landmarks in zone blocking, seals the back side in split and is a bonafide weapon in the power run game. I think he is the best blocker in the room. I hope Finley stays on staff long enough to develop his route running and hand technique catching the ball.

I paid particular attention to him in this game and this guy is an absolute mauler. No wonder the staff wanted him on offense. Watch the option play where Crockett scored. This dude just knocks the shite out of people.

I’m glad they let him get out in some routes. He showed soft hands on the one ball thrown his way.

He totally destroyed people on two different touchdowns. Things of beauty.

This is why I wanted him to play the o-line at Mizzou, because this is the kind of stuff(blocking) he did in high school. He would glue on to the defender and block him all the way out of bounds.

His block against a Florida defender opening up a big hole allowing Crocket to score a td:

What happened to Logan Christopherson? Big kid has been passed up by Scales and Parker.

Sealed off 2 guys on Rountree's big run!!! Beautiful to see.

No more glorified WRs at TE for MU. Things have changed.

Is there a chance he ends up on Oline?

Most people thought he was a better guard in HS than anything. So I guess it’s possible, but I don’t really see him putting on that much weight and I like him just where he’s at.

Lack of length would put him inside. He would then have to put on 40 lbs to handle conference play.

It's easier to find a HS LT that can play P5 guard than find someone that can do what he can from the edge of the formation at 260. He can match up with every edge defender in the conference at that weight and overwhelm any second level defender. If Finley can make him serviceable catching the ball, he could be a major weapon at TE/H-Back.

He could still end up at DE as well.

can he make it to the NFL on his blocking and some moderate catching ability? What is his best path to the NFL?

He has 3 years to work on his receiving and route running. If he wants it bad enough, I don't see why he can't develop.

Blocking which historically very few of our TEs could do

Parker was a real bright spot in todays game. Though I think Vandy might have overlooked him in game planning.

Won't lack of height keep him from catching on as a NFL TE? I could see Gruden bringing him in as a FB/HB. Great blocker with decent hands out of the backfield. Raiders did that with a Washington WR that gained alot of weight, and he was very effective.

Honestly, as long as he is a good SEC TE, the NFL projection would be gravy.

Parker needs to sit out one of the next 2 games to use his redshirt.

Will O and Blanton be back?

He wouldn’t be able to play in the bowl game either. Highly doubt they do that.

It is an interesting situation. If Parker is just a a temporary TE for this year, I'd be fine with redshirting him this year. If he is going to stay at TE, then just let him play the rest of the games.
