Should be an interesting matchup, it’s strength on strength with their strong ground game up against our surprisingly stout run defense. Both defenses are good up front but have questions on the back end, however neither QB scares anyone from the pocket right now.
Hard to get a feel for how good they are. MSU and USC are quickly heading towards 6-6 seasons after being predicted near the top of their respective divisions. Florida looks decent but have done almost nothing on offense against the two teams they’ve played with a pulse.
Of course, we’re an enigma too. We played a total of 4 great quarters of football against Clemson and Bama but then struggle bused it against the conference doormat.
I’ll be interested to see how healthy Kentucky is. Their best LB will miss the first half for targeting and four other defenders went down with lower body injuries that ranged from simple cramps to ankle injuries.

1. We played yesterday like a team that had just had their shite pushed in by an 800 lb gorilla—-errrr. Bama. It was in their minds and they were probably still banged up, but despite tons of mistakes and misfortune, they still won
2. I think we trounce Kentucky

We should just move on to discussion about South Carolina
1. This week is Kentucky
2. They are our rival

That’s how we need to play it. Nothing will piss off UK fans more than refusing to engage with them because we aren’t motivated to.

Your reindeer games are for the rant, sucks when we finally play UK they decide to be good.

quote:ive always had the opinion that this matters in the first quarter or maybe even the first half, it went into the third and fourth quarter for us and we started like gangbusters. we got a big early lead, mentally checked out, and the play calling got very conservative

This is hilarious, Kentucky fans are jumping up and down screaming for attention almost as badly as LSU fans

I am shocked we are the Vegas favorite. Kentucky has looked very solid the last 3 weeks, they are physical.
Our OL is average on a good day, and we don't have top end speed with our skill people. Our offense will go as Mond goes. We will have to run him a lot if we want to win. Luckily, I don't think they are built to take advantage of our secondary. But we better play great if we want to win.

I have not done any statistical analysis on the subject, but I think our offense will go as Trayveon Williams goes. And perhaps with Corbin receiving a few more carries.
When we have an effective running game, it just makes things so much easier. If the opposing team's DL has to respect the run, it slows down the pass rush and makes it easier for our TE to get free since their LBs have to watch the backfield.

Is Ausbon expected to be back? Did we pick up any other injuries?

I really have no idea what to expect. Could win or lose by two tds and I wouldn't be surprised. As many have said, these are the home games we absolutely have to start winning. Will be at a wedding of a fricking a&m and kentucky grad so I won't be able to watch. I know I've said this several times, but I'm complaining to anyone that will listen.

It feels like the Kentucky team that Stoops has put together is the kind of team that Bielema wanted to build at Arkansas, but never could.
Any theories out there on why Stoops has succeeded where Bielema failed? The biggest difference I can see is that Kentucky seems to have a pretty good OL to open up holes for Snell, whereas Bielema always had problems on the OL.

This feels spiteful, and not coincidental in the least.

Groom is the Kentucky grad and understandably was riding the "yes dear as long as I don't have to plan it" wave and was not a happy camper when we told him what game it fell on. I'm sure its eating him alive with how well Kentucky is playing
