This is an absolute murderer’s row.

1. @ #1 Alabama
2. @ #4 Georgia
3. Neutral - #6 Washington
4. @ #18 Mississippi State
5. #24 LSU

I see a minimum of two losses. Any chance of making the playoffs at 10-2?

It would be an argument over other teams.

Though it would be tough, there’s always that chance of Auburn and Georgia meeting AGAIN in the SECCG.

Another potential top 5 matchup...

Depends on who the two losses are to in my opinion. A loss to Washington and another somewhat early game..maybe someone like LSU or Miss St, but then run the table including SECC game, I could see it.

But if I had to take a guess today, I would say no.

Y'all had that shot this past year. It'd have to be with a loss to Washington and then a conference loss, followed by hoping that the other conference's mess around and allow the door to be open for y'all to get in with an SECCG win.

This is true, and I think the CFB Playoff Committee would’ve put a 2 loss Auburn team in over a 1 loss Alabama (especially with the Iron Bowl fresh on the voter’s mind) if the losses would’ve been to Clemson and Georgia. Obviously the LSU loss killed us.

Eh you should handle Washington and LSU. MS St will be close and a big game for Gus.

You came close last year with 2 losses, so yes. there is a chance with 2 losses. It's slim, but definitely possible.

AU has been playing the toughest schedule in the country for about 40 years. This year is the same as forever, at least since I have been alive.

I wish someone would run the numbers for the toughest regular season SOS over the past 40 years in college football.

If AU hasnt played the toughest schedule I would be beyond shocked. Preseason poll and final poll, doesnt matter

Is there a team in the last 15-20 years who could run the table on that schedule?

Maybe 2001 Miami?

More like a list of murderers, or roster. Row suggests you play these teams consecutively.

I guess you missed the title which says “ranking the toughest games on Auburn’s schedule”

Everyone knows we don’t play Alabama our first game.

Kinda reminds me of the 14 Auburn schedule. That was a good Auburn team that played an incredibly tough schedule and lost 5 games.

Look for this year to go about the same. Losses to Washington, Miss St, Georgia and Bama.

not if you don't win the west.

Oops sorry that has already been done.

It depends on the other conferences. IF they all have 1 loss champs then maybe so. But if a bunch of them have 0 losses then I say no. You got to hope your 2 losses are to UW and an SEC non west team thus letting you win the west and win the SEC. Then perhaps yes
