I know Dak gets all the recent publicity, but Kent Hull was about as Mississippi State as it gets.

Kent Hull was a great player. You have to remember most posters on here didn't start watching football till the early 2000's.

I knew Kent Hull. He was quite a personality, and was a lot of fun to hang out with at deer camps in the delta.

He once told the story of making the pro bowl, and he had to play on special teams for the first time in his career. He asked the coaches what to do, and they said, just go out there and block someone. So, he looks down the line and sees Reggie White, Charles Haley, Mike Singletary, and....Morten Andersen.

I'll let you guess who Kent Hull decided to go after.

Funny stuff. RIP big guy.

Not to mention that every MSU fan who was around in Kent Hull's day was wearing a John Bond #13 jersey.

No doubt he's our best player, but our most iconic player to me is Steve Taneyhill

I think if George Rogers, Jadeveon Clowney, and Steve Taneyhill were all three walking around campus, Taneyhill would receive the least amount of attention. The picture of him in Clemson might be iconic, but he's nowhere near the icon that Rogers or Clowney are. Just my opinion.

And yet, they all love to talk about how great their football program was in 1962.

No doubt who it is for Uga. With that said Hines Ward is a guy who set one hell of an example. He was the definition of a team first guy. Did what was asked of him and excelled at qb,rb,and wr. He is my all time favorite Dawg.

Hines Ward is the best football player to ever play in Sanford Stadium.....Herschel was the best CFB tailback EVER but he wasn’t a QB, a receiver etc etc etc.....Hines Ward was so versatile he lead the conference in popcorn sale three years running...
