Von Miller is by far my favorite aggie football player.

Dunno why you posted half a dozen pictures, several of whom non LSU fans have no damn clue who they are.

The answer for LSU is shaq. Not whoever some of those other random dudes are.

Shaq...??? Pistol Pete was the man! As a Bama fan, him shooting birds while leaving the court against Bama was one of the most LSU things I have ever seen. The man was amazing...

Both are good answers but "The Hit" and being #1 in the draft made Clowney our most iconic imo.

Yeah, I got Shaq, Pete and Faulk. No clue who the others are.

Same here. I assume #20 is Billy Cannon but that is just a guess because one of them has to be since he is LSUs only heisman winner.

No idea about the other 3.

And Shaq is the only one who is iconic. Maybe Pistol.

For South Carolina it could one of any number of former players, but I assume we're talking strictly football here?

George Rogers
Sterling Sharpe
Marcus Lattimore
Jadeveon Clowney
Dan Reeves

They are all iconic in Gamecock Lore.

There are others ... perhaps the most beloved these days might be Conner Shaw simply because of his accomplishments and how he had endeared himself to our fan base.

Alex Hawkins certainly was/is iconic to many of us older fans.

Jeff Grantz is another.

I mean it would be tough to name just one but I think, if I was forced-to, it would have to be George Rogers or Marcus Lattimore.

Its a tough call and probably a generational thing for Auburn. Older people probably Bo or even Charles

Younger crowd is Cam.

I can see it both ways. ITs great to have three to pick from and even Frank Thomas in 4th..

Possibly. I also loved Frank Thomas. I think Thomas, Barkley, and Jackson were just good representatives of the state and of your school, while Newton has had some good and some bad that distort his image a bit.

All this is coming from an Alabama fan, of course, but even so I remember that my family had a ton of respect for Bo when I was growing up (he played while I was in elementary to middle school). I think, before the internet, the rivalry (while heated) was more or less respectful. The internet means we just hate each other more.

Ya' jerk. ;)

Nah, the right answer for Bama is Bear Bryant

Namath is famous, but I feel like to qualify for this you should be pretty well known and connected to the university by random sports fans

Joe is known for New York and the glam lifestyle. He is Broadway Joe afterall, not Bama Joe

The Bear is iconic and Bama all the way to sports fans
