Yeah, how dare the kid go wake boarding during the holiday? Very selfish! He has really let the team down.

These are my favorite message board responses; the overstated, sarcastic response to something that was never said or even implied. They save spare me the wasted effort of trying to explain what I said.

Uh, that's exactly what you said AND implied.

You explicitly said you don't want him participating in leisure activities because it shows a lack of dedication.

Let me ask you this: do you ever take a vacation? Maybe a trip to the beach or an amusement park to spend some time with the family and take a load off?

Does that show a lack of dedication to your job? Does that make you a poor employee who doesn't care about his company or co-workers?

See there's the problem, you don't know the meaning of explicit, you don't know the difference between an "indicator" (or lack thereof) and a fact, and you don't know how to distinguish between desires and opinions. Once again, a response to something you created in your mind, not something I said.

I like how you skirt the questions that are inconvenient to your posturing and talk out of both sides of your mouth.

Do you work for the Cagle campaign?

I want my college quarterback doing nothing over the Summer but sleeping a full 8 hours exactly, lifting weights, running voluntary workouts like he’s after Kirby’s job, eating 3 square meals, teaching the playbook to freshmen then going to sleep. If he has any fun whatsoever then I will burn the custom jersey I had made in effigy. shite, if he even thinks about acknowledging his family or the larger world outside of Athens beyond the opponents he plays this Fall I want him off the team.

Now, does anyone know when Madden19 comes out cause I need to do something in my spare time this Summer to kill the time until football season LOL

Crazy freak accident. Fromm was watching a friend wake board on Lake Burton. When his friend fell off the wake board the rope came back to the boat and the handle hit him on the hand.

Should have been in full-body bubble wrap if he wanted to study the playbook on a boat.

Total lack of commitment!

Meanwhile I bet an Alabama linebacker was watching Fromm from the shore with binoculars, studying his vulnerabilities and poor reaction time. Clearly a lack of offseason conditioning hampered Fromms spider senses or else he would have avoided the recoil on that ski rope. I’ll be surprised if we win 6 games and make a bowl this year. Kirby has lost control and it’s only year 3. Never should have fired Richt. Wonder if Jim Donnan is still available.

Rest is as important if not more so than all that hard work put in at the position. The body and mind fatigues. He needs to take a load off once in a while or else he'll burn out. Same goes for everyone in every position they are in, in school, work, sports, or anything else.

Our last QB who won us a natty did nothing but cocaine, 3 somes, and heavy beer drinking over the Summer in Athens. He fished some too.

He should at least find some buddies smart enough not to use a bungee cord as a fugging ski/wakeboard rope!

Yeah, but that was back when all of that stuff was considered more or less healthy.

Not to question the validity or anything. But has got to be the freakiest injury. What’s the chances that anyone could break their hand watching someone else wakeboard or water ski. I know when you fall the roap snaps back towards the boat, but the chances that it hits your hand, not your arm, or head, or body, or legs. Much less the engine or back of the boat. And the cushioned grip to hit it that hard to cause any fracture is pretty rare.

As far as him having fun in the summer I could care less. He’s 19? 20? Hell; hunt, fish, ski/ board, hike, ride 4 wheelers, do keg stands, go to the beach, chase tail.... be a teenager all you want I really don’t care. Saw a video of JF1 lighting fireworks with a propane torch, with Swift... God bless and celebrate you only live once. Your kings of the castle for only a short time. All I ask is don’t fail your classes, don’t get a dui or underage, or smoke weed ( cause I just don’t think you should). Don’t do anything to get you on the news at 11pm or 7am.

But the injury is absolutely rare, like I’ve never even heard of someone breaking their hand that way. And I’m sure that’s what happened, no reason not to believe him. But if it was anything else; that’s a stupid story to make up. So I’m sure it is what is.
