Keep watching. They catch it on the four-hundredth and twenty-fifth try.

I would feel so much worse for you specifically if you didn’t spend that entire month trolling Georgia fans.

You'll get numb to it over time. It'll always suck, but that's sports for ya. As the other thread pointed out: every fan base has those moments/games/plays that you just never fully get over. Hell, over 6 years later, and 21-0 still isn't something I joke about. I'm also still shook about Tebow and that fricking jump pass.

At least your team was there and came closer than any of ours to getting that title.

Your first baseman had it. Shaddy completely messed that up. Great player and you hate to have him remembered that way. Again, your 1st baseman had his eye on it and would have caught it, no doubt in my mind. When someone is right there under it, nobody should be rushing in screaming "I got it"

He disruppted your guy who was right there and damn near ran into him. Totally botched.

It does suck, but heres the good news. Its just a fricking game. It literally means jack shite. Its sole purpose is entertainment. It has no other value in the world. And you were provided quality entertainment for longer than most fanbases in the country this season. Was a good time and frick it. Anyone not playing for the team who walks around calling themselves "The champions" is just living in a delusion and lying to themself. I would bet not a single person on this board has ever won a national championship. They've just waved pom-poms and pretended to be chapmions

As an LSU fan, I dont take kindly to your side of the border, but my heart is with you at this time. And im sincere as frick. You got played like the saints got played in Minnesota. Thats a pain no one should go through. I sincerely sympathize. I feel bad for your senior 2B. I really do.

The only way to end that curse is to win it ASAP.
Hogs lose a lot but they will bring back a good core to make another run at it.

Oregon St benefitted from the extra day off and they have been the best team the past two years. They were probably better equipped to beat Fla last year had LSU not upset them.

I feel your pain brother. I am an old guy and I was in Little Rock when the Hogs smashed our 1975 National Championship hopes when you upset us.

We were number 2 in the nation and the number 1 team had lost that afternoon. All we had to do was beat the Hogs.

I really hate the arkansas fan base. That being said, I feel bad for the fans. Know how it feels to be so close, yet so far.

I’d much rather lose in the semi than the way Arky did in the final. Hate to see that for the Hogs, but they’ll be back before you know it. Nothing cures all like winning.

Haha.

As a New Orleans Saints fan, this post reminds me of the January 2012 Divisional Playoff game @ the 49ers. Sproles scores a TD, Alex Smith goes for the long TD run, and then the Brees pass to Jimmy Graham for the looong TD....and then the Alex Smith pass to Vernon Davis with 9 seconds left.

Explosive Saints team...would have hosted the NY Giants in the Superdome for the NFC Championship. A team we throttled by 25 points weeks prior.

Saints with 5 turnovers and the 49ers with 0 and still had a shot to win.

I'd watch highlights of that game still thinking we'd win. Did that for a year or two.

And then the Vikings playoff loss this past January. Crazy loss but it doesn't hurt as bad knowing that Saints team was not as good as the 2011 NOLA Saints squad.

On to football season!!
