Well deserved.

Best record ever for a COY.

Yeah-this is going to make things a bit tougher on State.

I don't think we'll hire him.

Happy for coach Henderson. He's done a hell of a job. I think we should offer him a considerable raise and try to retain him as pitching coach, which is what will probably happen.

Why wouldn't you take a guy who did what he did and is in the national spotlight. The mofo is one of 8 coaches left. What if he wins it?

One season does not mean he can have sustained success. That is what we are looking for. Matt Luke is a prime example of taking the interim off going bad.

Also from what I have been told he does not want the job. Can't remember where but someone quoted him saying an SEC head baseball coach is a 365 a year 24 hours a day job. He says it is a lifestyle not a job and that he is not ready to commit to that again.

Yeah well Steve Ensminger said that numerous times, and here we are.

Our hitting coach is still an option.

Because he's got 8 other years as a head coach that says he is not anything more than mediocre. Why don't you hire him instead and see how that goes? Any time a group of rival fans are telling you that your school needs to hire "so and so" it's not because they have your best interest in mind. Hiring a guy who has a decade of evidence suggesting he is going to be average is stupid.

We don't even know how he can recruit. If we're promoting someone off of this current staff, I want Gautreau promoted.

So, you're telling me that this guy that isn't even the coach, but had had a great season, wins COtY, has a chance to get State their first Natty, but he isn't good enough?!?

But....

Joe Moorhead, someone who has coached in mediocre leagues is going to be better than Mullen was, during his first season in the SEC.

Do you guys see why most people tell you guys that you are delusional??

I'm assuming you won't, but trust me you guys need to pull your heads out of your arse and come back to reality.

that's the cowbell ringing in their ear that is clouding their judgement.

If it wasn’t for Elijah McNamee, Gary would’ve gone 2 and Q in our REGIONAL. He is getting way too much credit for this Omaha trip. We got this far because of Jake and Eli. Henderson made bone head decisions all year and the players covered his arse the majority of the time. I haven’t missed watching a game all year. Henderson is not the long term solution. Period.

He may be cool with it, but I don't think I'd simply settle for being demoted back down to assistant after getting to the CWS and being named Coach of the Year.

Exactly. These other fans need to just leave this alone.

You're comparing MSU baseball to MSU football, dumbass. Why don't you pull YOUR head out of YOUR arse? Those 2 programs are nowhere near on the same level. You keep spouting his accomplishments this year and ignoring the fact that he's done jack shite for 8 years as a head coach running a program. Once again, if you like him so much, hire him at Miami when we don't.
