Joe Moorhead, someone who has coached in mediocre leagues is going to be better than Mullen was, during his first season in the SEC.

We're talking about two different things here with Henderson and Moorhead.

No one can question that Henderson has done an amazing job as the game manager since April or so, but a lot more goes into running a baseball program than managing the games. (as I type this I realize some people are arguing that the team has won in spite of Hendo's decisions, but I'm willing to give him some credit). I have no opinion on whether Henderson would be a good hire, but I don't think the decision on hiring him should be based on what has happened over the last few weeks.

Moorhead is a better OC than Mullen, and that is just about all that is important for the upcoming season. The player's are already in place. There are other off field things a Head Coach has to do to get a team ready to win, but Moorhead also has experience with that. We are naturally excited about the upcoming season.

Going forward, though, it remains to be seen if Moorhead can match Mullen's ability to run the program. While the early indications are good, anyone already claiming Moorhead will be better than Mullen is either being very optimistic, or is succesfully trolling you.

Henderson said he would "absolutely" like to remain at Mississippi State and wants to keep his coaching staff intact as well.

every FSU would’ve been fine with it.

All FSU fans agree that everything Martin does in the offseason is wrong regardless of the outcome. 0 for 22 in the CWS, I don't know how that is possible.

What I'm seeing the the thrashing and gnashing of teeth melting of a State fanbase that can't BELIEVE they are about to get stuck with Henderson. they know it's dumb. They also know it is now inevitable.

Dammit, Slackaveli, I like to bust your chops for some of the things you post. But this is dead on the head. Can't argue

Why wouldn't you take a guy who did what he did and is in the national spotlight. The mofo is one of 8 coaches left. What if he wins

Because he isn’t the long-term solution for State.

who can blame them? You can spin it good or make it sound really bad regarding Hendo. But you gotta figure the stadium, tradition, coach of the year honors, and the magical omaha run will at least let him be competitive as a recruiter. And he'd probably be like a 4-6 year and retire guy anyway. But, I know how it feels to be the under-dog school and be about to get a big name coach only to have the rug pulled out from under you.

This has to be the most PAINFUL coach of the year ever for a fanbase. They don't want it!

"Hey, State, Hendo won coach of the year!"
State fans be like:
