I think we'd snag Butch from Auburn before that happens. Still a few good targets to choose from before we'd have to go that route.

Only way I would be good with it is if he brings Jerry Rice in as hitting coach and Peyton Manning as his pitching coach.

You knew it was a pipe dream with both Schlossnagle and McDonnell - they had huge contracts. Not sure if any buyouts would have been involved but it was deals that made sure they were entrenched for exactly this situation - when another big time school came after them.
Mingione might be looking for an escape since he couldn't make regionals with the most drafted players out of college.
I don't know if they could get Godwin out of ECU.
Maybe Sarloos from TCU would have interest.
Yeskie asst at Oregon St is a great coach but he has more west coast contacts out there, he would be perfect for USC or Ariz St
